Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just making my first cuppa of the day, after feeding the kittens. Boy kitten was up at 6am, pestering for food & came to snuggle up when I kicked him out of the bedroom for being noisy 🙈. (I got up and finished my cuppa, I haven't left it stewing for a stupidly long time!).

It's the kittens birthday today, so I suppose really, they're cats now 🥳. They have some new toys for their birthday, and some treats.

We have no plans for the day, I don't think. Both girls have homework to be done & I have a dress to finish altering for a friend so we'll do that. And dd1 wants me to put the last of the blue dye on her hair. I'll list some things on Vinted and carry on with next half term's peg dolls for display at work, ploughing through washing at the same time.

I have no idea what's for tea yet so will look shortly and take out a chicken for tomorrow at the same time.

Later on it'll be showers all round & more relaxing this evening. I'll either get out my crochet or book for an hour or two, before another fairly early night 💤

Good morning all. We've had a quiet morning: meal planning, lego, wobbly life. We're all generally feeling a bit off colour so I think the boys will be taking it quite easy today. I'm off out to a pottery class in a few minutes. Later we'll have home made pizza and I might try to do some cross stitch as I haven't done anything stitchy for ages.

We're just making a quick pit stop between swimming lessons. I finally had all 3 children swimming at almost the same time (9am / 9.30am x2) and now DC2 has been moved up a group and it only runs at Midday!!

So I've put a quick wash on, prepped a picnic lunch for DC3 and we'll be heading back soon. I'll take DC3 to the local park whilst the other one is in their lesson so at least she'll get some fresh air and exercise.

DC1 will get some homework done whilst we're gone.

Going to grab the rest of us some warm sausage rolls for lunch from bakery as we won't be home until 1.30!

I need to pop out to Sainsburys at some point today (only 5 minutes away) to collect a package and I want to grab some fresh salad bits for dinner. Going to make a lasagne, I made the bolognese yesterday so it will be nice and easy!

Hopefully a film later. We finally finished Young Sheldon and I'm after a similar series. All of us barring DC3 (too little) loved it and miss it as part of our evening.

Good morning @lucysmam and followers, I am just enjoying a second coffee after a busy morning. Out with ZippedyDog1 for a hour just after 7 while very newly acquired ZippedyDog2 had her breakfast, then walked ZD2 for 30 minutes, put the washing on, cleared up after getting back from two nights away, prepped vegetables for dinner, got logs in and took ash out of the wood burner, fed ZD2 again (she’s a rescue on small frequent meals).
DH was sat watching crap tv throughout 🤬, in all fairness he has driven over 300 miles since Wednesday and navigated very narrow Welsh lanes 🫣
I will cook dinner shortly, wonderful homemade faggots from my favourite Welsh butchers, mashed potatoes and peas with onion gravy 😋
Then a very quiet afternoon, DH will walk ZD1, I will do ZD2, then a large glass of red wine I think!

Morning!

I woke up at 6:30 for some reason, so got up at 7 and enjoyed a quiet cuppa or three and a scroll. Went to Parkrun and then did a food shop and went to the post office (finally got round to doing my NI backdating before the deadline). Few loads of laundry and a bit of a tidy up before I go and pick DS up from school - no matches today so he finishes at lunchtime, and then take DD to a friend''s.

DH and I need to research garden buildings this afternoon and I also need to do a bit of work ahead of a meeting on Monday.

Will pick DD up at 7 and then maybe a film tonight.

I got up early despite being late home ( and somewhat merry 🍷🙈) last night .
Done a few loads of washing and made my fitness class .

Now going to stay home and clean and cook as I’m hosting family or dinner tonight .

I really need to learn to arrange less at weekends !
Im always up to something and wonder why I’m tired 🙄

I’ve just been for a lovely long walk down to the harbour to check out the new bakery that’s opened, and got myself a donut for lunch, yum!😋

Good afternoon @lucysmam and everyone! I'm late today and I can't remember contributing to last weekend's posts at all!

Last weekend I had my daughter and three-year-old grandson staying with me so I was very busy and preoccupied.

Today... I made a cassoulet this morning which is simmering away in the oven at the moment, I expect we will eat that this evening, with crusty bread. I also prepared a bread and butter pudding which will go in to the oven once the cassoulet comes out.

First thing this morning I had to ring my hairdresser and apologise for missing my appointment yesterday. I hadn't put it in my diary and it wasn't until I counted the weeks since my last appointment that I realised I had missed it. Luckily I have next week off and she has fitted me in on Tuesday.

I have nothing else planned for today - I expect I will have a nap this afternoon... I was awake between 2 and 5 this morning and then again at 7.30 so I'm fairly tired. I still have to think about what to have for lunch - I'm on antibiotics yet again so I have to be fairly rigid about mealtimes and they are playing havoc with my already very fragile digestive system (goodness knows what effect the beans in the cassoulet will have!) I am hungry, but I don't really fancy anything 😞.
