Car park and accommodation Heathrow

We are travelling to New York in July at 8.25am from Terminal 5. We live in the Midlands so I thought a hotel would suit us better, but I’m also going to have to drive down.

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions as to how best to drive and stay? Obviously when we get home I’ll also be driving back.

Any ideas would be really appreciated!!

Outbound - Book Long Stay T5 car parking, then catch the shuttle bus to T5 and stay overnight at the Sofitel. Walkway to the Sofitel is opposite M&S food hall in T5 arrivals hall.

Inbound - jump on the shuttle bus back to the car park

The long stay car park quote was almost £400.

If you truly want ease, I would look at doing park and stay at Sofitel T5. It’s the only hotel connected to T5 and you can park there for your duration of your trip. No need to get a coach back to your car in the car park.

4 nights, book Sofitel hotel and parking

Sofitel coming out at £228 for one night though so you may as well do the parking there.
