Hands up! I've got a cold. We're having an extra spicy chilli con carne tonight, just about to serve it up.

JanglingJack · 16/03/2025 20:15

A lovely Indian curry... Pathia? Dhansak? Madras?... Lots of raw onion too.

TheDandyLion · 16/03/2025 20:16

Hot and sour soup.

Girasoli · 16/03/2025 20:33

Jam on toast, and tea with lemon and honey.

Pastina if someone else makes it for me.

murasaki · 16/03/2025 20:55

Chicken soup and a cheese and ham toastie.

Or mac and cheese.

EwwSprouts · 16/03/2025 20:58

Curry so I can actually taste something, and to make my nose run,

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/03/2025 20:59

Wagamama's yasai itame used to be brilliant for zapping a cold, but they stopped doing it.

At home - Heinz tomato soup with loads of black pepper and chilli flakes - has to be served with toast rather than bread - cheese on toast or a toast even better.

If I'm not too ill to cook, chunky root vegetable and lentil soup and nice bread

Or dhal with chapatis, naan or paratha

RosesAndHellebores · 16/03/2025 20:59

Chicken Lokshen.

SmallGreenBabies · 16/03/2025 20:59

Pea and ham soop 😊

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/03/2025 20:59

Or takeaway curry - vegetable dhansak

LillyPJ · 16/03/2025 21:00

Coffeeishot · 16/03/2025 21:00

I had the flu recently I lived on soup bread and crisps with a daily orange just to add some fruit.

FinallyHere · 16/03/2025 22:11

The kind of chicken soup my mother used to make, made from real chicken stock with finely chopped carrots, celery and onions. Fresh parsley. I also like it to be very garlic you which DM would never have considered. Include a handful of rice.

drink hot and breathe in the fumes.

shellyleppard · 16/03/2025 22:12

I make a slightly spicy curry, seems to help. Don't know why lol

CoastalCalm · 16/03/2025 22:21
