How often do you weigh yourself?

I go through periods where I'm constantly weighing myself, and then periods where I hide from the scales.
I'm a very healthy weight but get really depressed about gaining even a kilo and sometimes they just seem to add on out of nowhere.

Never. I judge by how my clothes fit.

Same

Pigcasso · 01/03/2025 11:01

meant to say last time I used them I was about 11st 8, I am 5ft 3

Meh😑

Sunshineandrainbow · 01/03/2025 11:02

How do you rein it back in if you have gained?

RaraRachael · 01/03/2025 11:05

I used to weigh myself every week when I was trying really hard to diet. It just depressed me if I'd tried really hard but not lost anything.

Now I never do it. I am still eating sensibly but I know if my clothes feel too tight.

obsessedwithfreshbread · 01/03/2025 11:15

Daily, fluctuates by 2/3lbs everyday but I log it and watch the trend line to see if I need to change anything for a few weeks

aspidernamedfluffy · 01/03/2025 11:30

Never. The only time I get weighed is when the Dr/nurse does it during my annual check-up.

Seeingadistance · 01/03/2025 11:36

Every day.

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 01/03/2025 11:37

Every 28 days for the past three years, during which time I have lost 82 kgs.

CeffylCoch · 01/03/2025 11:41

Most days. I've lost 3 stone and am trying to maintain so I don't put it back on

HappyAsASandboy · 01/03/2025 11:43

Daily, unless I am away from home.

I am trying to lose weight, so want to know if I am losing 1-2lbs per week or whether I need to change something to get back on track.

My weight fluctuates daily, sometimes by quite a lot, so weighing weekly wouldn't give me an accurate view of my weight loss.

Floralnomad · 01/03/2025 11:45

It used to be very occasionally , but I’ve been doing a low carb way of eating since mid September and now I weigh in every Monday if I’m at home , if I’m away I miss a week . I’m a healthy weight now but prone to gaining very quickly due to being on steroids .

HomeworkMonitor · 01/03/2025 11:46

Daily. I like my current weight. I don't want to slide

TorroFerney · 01/03/2025 11:58

Every day if I think I’m the weight I want to be, less if I think I’m more. Disordered I know. My body wants to be 8 stone 9, I was that just before I got pregnant 16 years ago and I’m about that now at 52. My head wants to be 8 stone 7 as then my stomach is flat. I know that is stupid.

Autumn38 · 01/03/2025 12:04

Every single morning. I lost a lot of weight and it’s how I keep it off.

gingercat02 · 01/03/2025 12:09

Every morning after, I've been to the loo, before I get in the shower. Have done for years, only for interest, no drama if I forget or am away somewhere, I just like to know.

SallyWD · 01/03/2025 12:13

Haven't weighed myself for years. I go by how tight my clothes feel.

Moonlightstars · 01/03/2025 12:16

About once a year at the GPs.

Dallygre · 01/03/2025 12:23

Everyday, while I’m brushing my teeth normally as they’re by the sink

ToBeOrNotToBee · 01/03/2025 12:25

Every 2 weeks. Around ovulation and day 3 of period.
In between that's when I'm at my heaviest with water retention, there can be as much as 3kg difference 10 days apart.

notatinydancer · 01/03/2025 12:30

Twice a day. In a bad mood all morning if I've gained ( not healthy I realise )

That’s an incredible amount. I assume you’re happy with your result?

Chipsahoy · 01/03/2025 12:39

Never but I assume my weight doesn’t change as my clothes continue to fit

Morporkia · 01/03/2025 12:40

Once a week. Im 5'4 and in 2018 was 12 stone 8. I was overweight for most of my adult life. I lost it 6 years ago over the period of about 8 months. Since then I keep an eye. I don't really limit what I eat, but I never overeat anymore. When i put a couple of lbs on (xmas usually) I just go back to eating 3 light meals a day for a week or so. Also my go to snack is skinny dream bars. I prefer them to traditional choc now.

TagSplashMaverick · 01/03/2025 13:06

Every morning. My scales sync with my Garmin. I like keeping track of my muscle tone and body fat.
