It's been a while since we had a thread on this topic. Why did you choose your user name? I love the variety on here.

Mine is lyrics from a Cure song....

I just took one of the site's random generated names. I feel I have grown into it....

Haddy is a badass character in a book I read which is supposedly being turned into a Netflix show. So I nabbed the name just in case.

Months ago, watching Corrie, Krooked Kopper Kit, who advised Beth that she better leave the street, insulted her and called her a "sad eighties throwback".
The phrase stuck in my head for some reason.🤷

Mine is an anagram of my maiden name. Which was just my name when I joined.

I found Mumsnet at a dark time in my life. I thought something was amiss with my marriage and I just wanted to see if I could get help and advice. It was the beginning of the year...

I found a thread written by an amazing woman who was going through something very similar. She wrote beautifully. And she coped with her separation and devastation in her life. I then joined another thread where I made the very best friends. We're all in touch on WhatsApp almost every day and have met IRL many times. Truly good women who'd all been through the same horrors.
So I'm divorced (many years), I survived, I feel stronger, I have great friends which I made thanks to Mumsnet and I change my user name at the start of every year.

I tend to go with something I can see in the room, like a book title. I’ve just namechanged and my cat is currently sitting on my lap wearing a collar with this phrase on…

If I was brave and wanted to stand out I'd be a bright blue flamingo. Sadly I'm not, but hey, a girl can dream........!😂

I name change all the time, this one was when the last series of Traitors was on and one of the contestants was nicknamed (on the MN thread) Army Barbie.

Mine is a name change as I used to be called "need wine" but I'm trying to give up booze as I was a really heavy drinker so new start, new name

I recently changed mine after being stalked and bullied by another MN user, so I thought I'd choose one that adapted a relevant phrase to the situation, whilst also referring to my favourite biscuit 😁

Mine comes from the villain in Bowser's Inside Story, the Mario & Luigi DS game. I spent many an hour playing it with my little DS1... Fawful has a funny way of talking (I have chortles", "I have fury", "I am the mustard of your doom") which he found hilarious. I/ we remember the music fondly.
It is not short for 'f*ing awful".

Mine means white mouse in French after Nancy Wake, a female operative in France during W2 and her inspiring story.
