M&S boycott due to ads on GB news.

Just seen this on youtube, so had a google.
It appears to be causing a bit of a stink, wonder what Ocado think...

"High street retailer Marks & Spencer, which claims to be an LGBTQ+ inclusive retailer, has been hit by a boycott campaign over its decision to place advertising on GB News, which has been involved in a series of hate speech controversies.
Campaigners say the retailer’s decision to advertise on the channel, contradicts its claims to be “celebrating the LGBTQ+ community” and “making M&S a place where all LGBTQ+ people feel they belong.”

So the sex realists boycott M&S because they allow trans people to use the wrong-sex changing rooms and now the trans supporters want to boycott M&S because of their advertising practices - so everyone's boycotting M&S, who are left wondering who the heck they need to appease to get some customers 😂

I did think it was oddly placed, since GB news and it's supporters (working class) isn't' what I'd call the usual M&S demographic.

Ha, might be less busy than usual tomorrow then which will suit me as I've got a lot to do!
Can’t imagine the average M&S clientele will even notice, boycott or advert!

They really shouldn’t advertise on GB news. But do people boycott anyone who advertises in the Daily Mail, which is just as bad.

This idea that a business must be pure and only offer product via approved channels is so odd.

They are up against cheap imports and need all the money they can make to keep the doors open.

Why are GB viewers mainly working class? I know loads of MC people that watch it. Nobody watches it all day, it’s just one out of

Why do you have to be brave to watch GB news. I watch it. I watch almost all the satellite and terrestrial news channels.

Why don’t working class people use or like M&S anyway? Yes they are more expensive,so maybe more for treats or occasional for some.

GB news slants or views resonate with a huge swath of the population.
Its a shame companies haven’t the guts to advertise with them.

I shop at M&S and wouldn’t boycott even though I do not agree with their changing room stance. I like their food too much tbh.

I actually watched Julia Hartley Brewer on the other hated channel with a lovely coffee and Colin Caterpillar today 🤣

They might not have been aware they were advertising on there as an agency will buy their advertising but sure they are now...

I watch a bit of all the news channels so i get the news from all sides. GB News have reported on the problems at Wethersfield and given a platform to the locals so they can speak about it
