Eczema round the eyes - wonder cream?

Get the occasional flare-up and usually goes away on its own.

However it's really sore - is there a wonder product that is safe to use round the eyes - I know steroids aren't the best thing for this area?

I don't know if it's for that area, but Protopic works for me, you would need to see your doctor to advise though.

Eucerin 10% Urea cream has worked for me in the past. But my eczema has been much, much better since I started taking a collagen supplement every day.

I have used the Protopic for about 2 yrs. I currently only use it maybe once a week, when I get the beginning of an eczema patch. I can't remember how long it took - perhaps a couple of weeks? But nothing else worked and it did get rid of it. I think I used it twice a day to start with and have gradually reduced, it did sting a bit the first few times, but I found it soon stopped. I use a cotton bud to put it on accurately - you don't want it in your eyes! I hope that's helpful.

About two weeks for me too, although I did feel that it was working IYSWIM. I still need to use it for a couple of days occasionally, but it tends to work within a couple of applications when I do so.

I have it round my eyes and mouth and it's a constant battle at the moment.

I've tried all manner of potions and lotions. At the moment, I am using the Aveeno Baby Dermexa range and I am finding it helps. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all, which is unusual.

Baby Aveno is my suggested product too.

I use OTC hydrocortisone cream sparingly - I apply with a cotton bud - for about three days if I have a flareup and Avene eye cream two or three times a week (when I remember) to keep on top of it.

I stopped using any form of eye makeup many years ago. It always caused me problems.

For me, the hydrocortisone didn't work, unfortunately.
