Is a key safe actually safe

What’s stopping someone ripping it off the wall, breaking it, getting my house key and entering.

If I had a key safe I’d put it out of sight, so I’d attach to the wall on the side of my garage, it wouldn’t be visible from the street and even if you walked up the path you wouldn’t see it.

Don't buy a cheap one, it could easily be smashed off the wall even with a brick. My mum has one, was really expensive and is hidden v well, attached to the stand of her oil tank in back garden. I wouldn't put one in plain sight.

Cant you just give a spare key to trusted friend or family member that lives nearby?

Also the location you put it in will make it more secure
ours is nowhere near the door and it not on display
