Tinned Soup

Not feeling great and trying to fend off a cold I feel is brewing.
Just looked through the cupboards and found a can of Heinz minestrone so that will be lunch.
There's also one can of M&S Cream of Chicken, but I fancy something tomato based.
I think they're from an ocado order DH must've done 😄

Do you like tinned soup?
Any favourites?

The only tinned soup I ever buy is Heinz tomato, which I love. I usually add some halved cherry tomatoes, some grated cheese and a handful of chopped parsley and basil.

I sometimes buy the Covent Garden soups and often make my own, but tomato soup has to be Heinz!

I wonder if it was a recipe in woman's weekly or similar? Potato based food and tomato soup put together.

possibly, I think maybe family circle perhaps as that was her fave magazine ,she would buy bundles of old old ones from charity shops

I used to add a little roasted garlic puree and eat it with cheese on toast sometimes

Wow I've never thought to add extra flavourings into tinned soup! Only things like croutons as a topping.

Hope everyone in the storm affected areas are OK.

We add extras to packet soups too, some finely sliced mushrooms & freshly chopped parsley can take that bitter chemical like tang away from packs of leek and tattie or chicken noodle soup. Sweet chilli sauce or garlic puree in tomato soup etc
