Good Morning Everyone! What's Everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, with girl kitten sat on my knee 😊 . Boy kitten's gone back upstairs to bed, I think. No-one else is up yet, so it's lovely and quiet down here. I'm going to catch up with Christmas Chronicles & the readalong thread when I've posted this.

We're not doing much today really. There's the usual washing & tidying round to be done. Plus last night's pots because we couldn't be arsed. I'll probably potter & do those while it's quiet.

Both girls will have work to do for school and college so I'll nudge them to do that and to give their rooms a tidy.

I'm off for a late lunch with a couple of friends this afternoon - I might head into town to return a birthday gift I can't wear because it contains wool and meet them there 🤔. They're off to pay off their holiday.

When I get in, I'll probably get my shower & chill for an hour or two with my book before I head to bed for an early night, hopefully for a better nights sleep 🤞

It's -6° here in Cambridgeshire. My son's football class has been cancelled so I'm just enjoying 10 more minutes in bed. My husband has taken him downstairs and is sorting out breakfast.
First load of washing is on and we need to tidy up the kitchen. Christmas boxes will go in loft later and we have some more decorating to do in our bedroom. My son will quite happily entertain himself while we're painting.
Need to take my car to the garage this afternoon for a new tyre then hopefully time for some stitching this afternoon.

We are all still in bed here which is rare for me
Dd came home from university yesterday for the weekend as it was her birthday on Thursday so we went out for a meal last night
Dh and Dd are going to see Dh’s parents this morning so I’ll have a tidy up whilst they are out
Need to pick something up for tea not sure what Dd’s plans are she might do something with her boyfriend
A night snuggled up with the dog and a glass of red wine in front of the tv tonight

I've been ill since 20th December and still not 100% but the house is a mess and I'm obviously feeling a bit better because I'm motivated to actually tidy it! Christmas decs need to go up to the loft as they are currently all on the landing. Kids football has been cancelled due to the frozen ground (hopefully tomorrow will be as well!) so that's given us our day back but they just want to chill so I'll most likely potter about doing a mixture of jobs and resting. I need to colour my hair, but I need to do it really thoroughly (last time the colour just washed straight out) and will walk the dog later this afternoon, maybe with my sister in law if she's free.

I've been up since 2am on painkillers, but hey ho, it happens.

Waiting for the shopping to be delivered. A gentle clean around this morning, as to be honest it never gets mucky, so it won't take long.

May have a look a taking apart one of our Dyson attachments so I can clean it.

This afternoon it will be just me and my OH in, so a glass or two of wine.

Other than usual tidying and walking the dog, I'm doing absolutely nothing today except watch telly and read my book. I feel absolutely burnt out by January and having a chill day. One teenage son with his girlfriend, other one at work so just me and the dog. Bliss.

Walked the dogs early this morning in very frosty 🥶 subzero temperatures. Came back home and made a cup of tea and piece of toast before DH joined me. Discussed a massive family reunion which is going to take a lot of organising as it involves family from the US coming over too. Going to meet young adult DS for lunch later and then watch a film in front of a fire this evening.

Morning! Freezing here and I’m still in bed, drinking coffee. Will leap in the shower shortly and then get dressed while exposing as little flesh as possible!
When DD’s carers get here, we’ll head out to our local cafe. I’m hoping to drag DP for a stomp in our local country park, which looks magical in this sort of weather.
Not sure what we’ll get up to later, but it’ll definitely involve heated throws!

Good morning, we’ve finally have heating!!!! It was only fixed yesterday, so the kids are both back as it was too cold for them to stay here so they had been staying with grandma and me and my husband took it in turns to stay with them.

We’re not doing much today, we’re really behind on everything, so we’ll just do the park and a dog walk, apart from that toy chaos and TV will be encouraged today so we can sort the house out.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, it’s a sunny, very frosty -4° here. We had a beautiful sunrise with pink clouds, they gradually faded as the dog and I did our early walk. It’s less icy, thankfully, but still bitterly cold.
Today I am going to do a bit of housework, cut up the liver I have dehydrated for dog treats and freeze them, cobble something together for dinner then get on with some needlework (which isn’t getting anywhere fast!)
DH is supposed to walk the dog later but, if the last two days are anything to go by, it’s probably going to be me doing it, not that I mind but he does virtually nothing else!

Anyway, a quiet weekend ahead, nothing much planned 🌻

Morning all. Bit chilly here today. Had a boba tea made for and then, I'm informed, I'm playing a game of ping pong. Not too much planned for today, the usual house and admin stuff. We're going to give ds's bedroom a bit of an update so I'll need to pop to argos later for some bits and bobs. Might have a meander round Waterstone's, if it isn't too slippery underfoot in town, as I need to pick up a London guidebook for next month. Then a lazy afternoon with some knitting or crossstitch and buffalo chicken burgers for dinner.

I’ve came back to bed with a cup of tea. Pets all fed. Dog had his pee.

Ds has jumped into bed too. I’m going to make a full cooked breakfast soon. We plan on going to a local attraction today plus tea out. Before that take the dog out. DD is still asleep.

Everyone is so tired after returning to work and school and still have lingering bugs.

Tonight we will have an easy tea. Think Dd and DH will do Lego and DD and me will watch something.

It’s -5 here in Liverpool. Just having a coffee with breakfast, watching the Gruffalo with little one. Have the usual household stuff to do and a run to the tip (which I’m so excited about, how sad). Partner is really unwell and is in bed, so I’ll have to take the little one with me the tip, but then maybe a trip the park and a coffee.

then do some random kitchen table chemistry/science to tie in with GCSE revision, bought youngster preprepared biology slides for Christmas so will get microscope out that sort of thing

additional teen later for last LOTR film and a game of Worse Case scenario.

but before all that will go and hang the stuffed coconut halves around the trees in garden for birds and squirrels

Just waiting for my little girl to wake up then we're going to have some time at home pottering around and tidying up whilst DH is doing some work this morning and then this afternoon not too sure perhaps a visit to a family member.
Last year was hard on me physically and mentally so I'm spending January resetting and relaxing we are usually such on the go people and I can't keep up with it anymore.

Beginning to think my sons match will be called off this afternoon. He's a referee and it's looking pretty wet out there. It'll depend on the state of the pitch.

He's going to be busy when the better weather comes and the leagues need to catch up. He's going to earn a fortune!!! 😁

Trip into town for us for opticians and haircuts, will probably get the DC a hot chocolate or something while we are out. I also need to post some vinted parcels.

Will pick up something for tea when we are out for an easy dinner.

Not the most exciting day but a nice normal day!

Morning all. Fairly slow morning here, DS is on his computer and DP has taken DD to her class this morning. I’d like to get out for a walk this afternoon but the pavements are lethal - -4 here currently. Might brave it though as I’m going a bit stir crazy after a week of largely being indoors hiding from the ice!

Pasta for tea then wine and telly later I think. Will probably watch some of the FA Cup matches.

It's freezing 🥶. Just taken DS swimming and have agreed to stay for soft play because the heatings on 😂

Later we’ve got a birthday party, and I need to spend a few hours doing laundry. We’ve got friends coming over for dinner - I’m cooking Greek lemon chicken, a big salad and little fried potatoes. May make some focaccia to go with it but then it kind of loses the Greek theme 😏

-1 but bright sunshine here in Scotland. DW is out walking the dogs and I haven't made it out of bed yet, not even for coffee! Too warm.

Today is my birthday celebration so we're off to Edinburgh for a day of shopping, food and the cinema to see Moana 2. I LOVE a date day and I'm excited for it! Just need to get out of this bed and into the shower.

Ive had a bit of a tidy and put a wash on so far.

DH and I are going for a carvery lunch with DS and his GF as they have a rare Saturday off.

Later DD and I are having a massive planning session as she is leaving to live/work abroad soon and she has asked for some help. Resisting every Mum urge to do it all for her - she’s 26!!!!

DH and I might watch a film later and will very much enjoy not having to think about dinner as carvery leaves me full.

I’m feeling the January bleurgh this week so trying to gently get things done and rise above it without anything too exhausting.

Considering going out for brunch, checking investments which we do every day. Having a reconfigure of the bedroom a little. We gave 4 bags of clothes to the charity shop this week as we did out our wardrobes. Ringing my sisters later and also a friend. DH was going out for a run but it’s too icy where we live. Will walk along the canal to get to brunch, have decided to as I write. But then is it the expansive little cafe or the much cheaper one?

Bitterly cold here. DH and I still in bed with coffee and cat. No real plans other than cleaning out my car and maybe a game of Catan later. All very relaxed.

Had a cup of tea and tidied up. Just waiting on DH dropping Dd to work and bringing back a Tim Hortons then going to get my Xmas nails changed and Ds has an ice hockey game later. Tonight will be a takeaway and chill.

A cold and frosty one here but looks bright with blue sky. Going to see my elderly Mum for lunch shortly with my DD. I love my Mum but could really do without it today as it’s a 2 hour round trip and both DD and I feel shattered after first week back at work/school.

Hoping to get back home at a reasonable time - will need to today as shopping delivery coming at 6 and then DD and I will have an easy tea while probably watching Gladiators!
