I think anyone who thinks it's odd or sleazy or weirdly/inappropriately sexually open, to mention a celebrity crush to a family member, may have issues all of their own that I wouldn't even want to start to unpick!

I think it's healthy to talk about this sort of thing in a family. My mum (who would be nearly 100 if she was still alive) always used to say "being married doesn't stop you fancying other people, but it should stop you acting on it". It's not like they're perving on them!

My dad named me after a TV actress from the 50s who he rather liked apparently. He would have been 99 a couple of days ago so the name wouldn't mean anything to anyone on here.
My mum liked Rudolf Valentino, Erroll Flynn and, in her old age, George Micheal, all totally unlike my dad for a multitude of different reasons.😉

• Kate Bush, because she was really not his kind of music at all but we had a videotape of her music videos.
