How have you got on @MoiraRoseForever ? I've just ordered one as I've got a dodgy back so I'm hoping it may help with that.

Thanks for reminding me to update here .

Got the lowest level one about week or so back.

Have been using it most evenings .

i started with keeping a t shirt on . I do it on the bed as apparently that’s less pressure.

I didn’t feel much with the t shirt so took it off half way ( I do 20 mins ) but it hurt and I stopped.

I then kept going and found I got used to it so now do it without t shirt . It feels quite warm and after a while doesn’t feel painful. You have to be careful not to forget else it does hurt.

i am not quite sure what it does. It does feel relaxing after . So far not helping with sleep. I will keep going,

they do have various offers on at times and also discounts for new shoppes. I think they also have a money back guarantee .

i need to look into whether it’s cumulative, it works more the longer you do it .

Are you using it right before sleep?

DoveLisand · 01/02/2025 14:02

Oh man it is brilliant ! I use mine - the medium one before sleep. Makes such a difference, clears my mind completely in 5-10mins.

sometimes it is agony and sometimes fine. Never know what it is going to be.

yes and getting off of the worst thing

mindutopia · 01/02/2025 14:28

I have one and I love it. Though you’ve had me realise that in the most recent shuffle around of the bedroom, I’m not actually sure where isn’t gone as I haven’t been using it, so must track it down.

About 10-20 minutes before

I think if you can use it just as you're ready to sleep it will have more of an impact on your sleep. Worth a try anyway

tellmesomethingtrue · 02/02/2025 01:39

I have the 'extreme' one which I love. Helps with headaches and tension. Bare back for 20mins as I fall asleep.

wandawaves · 02/02/2025 01:45

I've got one, the original version and the neck pillow. I've given up on them. I really wanted to love it, but I just can't say I noticed any difference to my aches and pains.
I find it surprising that everyone finds them so painful; I don't find it painful in the slightest, and I use it with bare skin. Maybe I need the stronger one, but I'm not willing to fork out more money for something that hasn't shown me any benefits.
I was so disappointed!

I found the first 5 minutes very painful, then the heat kicks in for a few more minutes, then the intense relaxation kicks in. I easily fall asleep on the mat really easy after the first 10 minutes. You just have to push through for at least 20 to see where your pain dropoff point is.

I find lying absolutely still helps. Don't try to shift your weight around, that hurts like the bejeesus.

LambriniBobInIsleworthISeesYa · 02/02/2025 04:20

I've had one (well, two, I wore the first one out!) for about 15 years now, since I was first diagnosed with a degenerated disc in my lower back. The best thing for back pain that I've ever used and really relaxing once you get the hang of it. They also do a little, spiky neck cushion which helps me when I have migraines.

As others have said, first time you use it you'll wonder how on earth anyone's been brainwashed into thinking that they're relaxing, but I promise you, you'll soon be hooked. I have nothing but good things to say about them; they're genuinely genius.

Yep, important to get the position right and then stay still .

So do you lie in it just before sleep and then get off as about to sleep ? How long do you lie on it,

I got the new pillow, which is shaped like a normal pillow. Their old version was more like a small bolster shape which I presume sat in the nape of the neck.

i struggle to use the pillow . From what I’ve read it seems shouldn’t have it on scalp, which I presume worked with old one. But this style I can’t seem to not get whole head on .

any ideas ?

I don't use the pillow at all, not keen on it being on my head
