Good for nothing

Just feeling a bit negative. It will pass but I just wanted to say it. Because its not something I can share.

I have litterly no education. I did not go to a mainstream school was told I had moderate learning difficulties. What ever that means.

On mumsnet for example and in real life. I see things written or said. And I have never heard of the word or seen it written. They often mean very basic things yet I don't know them. And because they are not something in my lifeI will forget it within 5 mins.

Then there's that thing I hear . Everyone's good at something/you just need to find your thing.

Nope I'm honestly not good at anything not academic, not artistic. No talents etc .

Tell me something interesting about yourself... I couldn't.

Does it really matter about " achieving " something or being good at something in life? Really? We're all heading to the same place ultimately and no ones going to be talking about your five degrees, three homes and your business empire when you've passed over... whereas you being a good mum and a caring friend WILL be remembered and be your lasting legacy to those whose lives you've touched. Those attributes are far more important imo. Live your life as best as you can, cherish your children and stop comparing yourself to others. Who cares if you can't drive, don't have a gcse, have a good job or loads of money - they are just " things" when it comes down to it. Give yourself a break and focus on finding your happiness, no matter how 'small' it may compare to others.

I just want to have a small skill. Or talent . Just a little something for me . Its for me to feel good about something. Not for others .

I feel like im going to contradict myself on every post now 😅. I don't actually want to work. I hate being around people I get extremely anxious if someone talks to me i feel like its the end of the world. I also have chikdren with special needs and alot going on in life so I don't have the time really.

I suppose I'm saying I would like to like being around people but I don't.

Do you want your children to have friendships? Then you need to model friendships for them.

I understand that too. So, you know what the answer is - try each and everything that takes your fancy - from bell ringing to paper maiche to mastering mario kart ,(!) And if you're crap at them all, so what, take pleasure in just having a go. but you may well find that something sticks and you find your feel good skill.

I tried to do couch to 5k once or twice i couldn't even slow Jog for 20 seconds. I can sing like wailing cat. I can kill plastic plants.

Same here. If it helps, I can't even breathe properly. I'm a mouth breather 😬🙈

How about making abstract art? You don't need any 'skill' for this, you can just make shapes on paper using paints or colours - whatever you feel like. If you choose colours that you find pleasing they can turn out pretty awesome.

There's also free style dancing - put some music on and move your body. No one is watching so it doesn't have to be any good. It's great exercise and great for your mood.
