What do you have in your Christmas dinner?

Growing up we had turkey, rice, peas, corn and carrots, mashed and roast potatoes, Brussel sprouts and asparagus. Living abroad I've had lamb, soup, and a hog roast.

Now I'm much more traditional and will do turkey, roast potatoes, Brussel sprouts, red cabbage, carrots, parsnips,Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets. Never tried bread sauce or cauliflower cheese even though they are a staple in most homes on Christmas. What is your ideal Christmas dinner?

No starter.
Turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, boiled potatoes, sprouts, carrots, cranberry sauce, bread sauce and gravy.

Pudding is a choice of Christmas pudding with either cream or brandy butter or trifle.

Pretty simple.
Turkey
Roast pots
Pigs in blankets
Cabbage (white and red)
Green beans
Carrots
Sprouts
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Sage and onion stuffing

Decided to not do parsnips this year.

Christmas Pud or brownies with cream are served several hours after.

We have a three bird roast this year + roasted potatoes and carrots + ready prepared parsnips + red cabbage + some form of sprouts. Plus extra stuffing and pigs in blankets and some other vegetable that I think I've forgotten. Gravy and last year's cranberry sauce from the freezer.

I'm cooking but I'm not a fan of Christmas dinner (or any kind of roast dinner). I wanted to do some sort of festive pilaf or something for me to eat but I haven't really go round to it. I will see if I can be bothered tomorrow.

Must have: turkey, sprouts, cocktail sausages, stuffing – it’s not Christmas dinner without these
2nd tier: roasties, honey glazed carrots – yes please if there is space for them on the table
3rd tier: parsnips, ham, boiled potatoes – nice to have but the first two tiers are enough food already

I don’t remember parsnips as a child, though I like them now, or pigs in blankets – we just had the sausages baked naked. Anyone else?
