Probably sounds a bit over the top . But om so pisssed off . Just as im getting on top of everything ik my house. That my house actually feels normal and not like a constant shithole. I'm just starting to feel good about my house.

What happens my washing machine has a drain error. All I need to do is open that the drain pump bit at the front . It will not open. I have tried and tried. Teen ds has tried to . I can't do a call out because its to expensive. No insurance etc. And I'm pissed of because of the fact its over something so stupid . I'm gonna have to get a new bloody machine because of a non opening pump ffs

Rant over. Of anyone has any ideas how I may be able to open the pump/filter please could you let me know.

Have you got any rubber gloves?
As you haven't got any WD40, do you have any Vaseline or even lip salve might be worth a try?
Don't be afraid to ask a neighbour someone will lend you a man with muscles I'm sure
Sadly men do have more upper arm strength!

@I4gotmyname I had the same problem recently with my Bosch washing machine. I could turn the filter cap half a revolution but no more. Tried brute force, pliers, swearing at it but nothing would shift it! Had a look on YouTube and found a video of someone showing how to dismantle the same machine to get access to the filter pipe. My husband and i just followed the steps and were rewarded with finding the padded cup from my daughter's bikini jammed in the hose! Funnily enough she remembers it disappearing about 6 months ago, so it had been in the pipe for ages gathering fluff and hair until it finally blocked the water completely. It took about an hour and a half to dismantle and re assemble the machine, but all possible with some basic tools and the YouTube instructions. I was pleased out of all proportion that we saved some money and fixed it ourselves Smile

I just killed my washing machine 😭. I put bicarbonate soda and white vinegar in the machine. Thinking it might help a bit. I dont know why. I drained it after so there, was no water in the drum. No error showed so I thought it had worked . Put a 15 min wash on to see of it would work . Now the drum has water in it and there no power to the machine 😭

Can you try another plug socket in case the usual one has broken?

I'm confused what you mean by

What happend when you try and turn it to the left, does it not move or rotate without undoing?

I need to turn it in order to undo /open it .

It does nothing . Well there's less than quarter of an easy turn then it stops dead can't go any further.

That's why it's so annoying because its something so silly.

Have you tried doing that easy turn and then pulling it towards you, rather than continuing to try and unscrew it? It might not be a full multi-turn screw thread — could be just that there's a tab that needs to be aligned with a slot internally, and then a good firm pull outwards.

Using Google Lens on your picture suggests that your machine may be a Hoover, and here is a video where someone explains that this is how to do it on a Hoover machine, albeit a different model.

Change the fuse (in the plug)?
