So I bought myself a little pre Xmas gift

A jigsaw that I started & some lidle cocoa dusted almonds that I’ve finished!! 😂

Both have given me huge pleasure & thinking about them still feeling good.

Thought it might be nice to share little pre Xmas treats. Not intended as a place to stealth brag so no expensive financial purchases. Just a small treat that’s made you happy.

Does a pair of wide foot wellies count, so that my feet don't get wet on dog walks?

Oh and I also got a craft set in the black friday sale that I am looking forward to starting when the current one ends!

Glad you enjoyed your treats OP.

InglouriousBasterd · 02/12/2024 22:40

I’ve ordered some new sparkly nail varnishes in the sales - love doing my nails in the evening!

Helpagirlout222 · 02/12/2024 22:48

I bought myself a bunch of yellow sticker flowers today, they're lovely!

Tomatocutwithazigzagedge · 02/12/2024 22:52

A small bottle of Jo Malone perfume. I wanted a wintery scent for the season.

I'm a single mum so no one really gets me any presents to open on Christmas day so I thought sod it, I'll smell fabulous for the whole of December instead. 😂

JingleB · 02/12/2024 22:55

I got the next bus so I could stay and listen to a brass band play my favourite Christmas carol. That few minutes gave me such happiness for 2 whole days just thinking of it.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/12/2024 23:02

I got some free chocolates in the John Lewis Christmas promo thing and I’ve eaten three tonight. Absolutely delicious. I don’t often eat sweet things (not out of virtue, it’s just not my thing) but I really enjoyed them.

What a nice idea for a thread op

SereneCapybara · 02/12/2024 23:07

I bought myself some fluffy socks from Primark when I bought some for other people's Christmas stockings. They are so soft and I am wearing them right now.

And some winter forest wax melts that smell divine, from John Lewis.

A holiday box of tissues and Hemp brand hand lotion which sorta matches the box. I have it at work and i just like looking at it while on my computer Im only occasionally at my desk (and it is shared at times) so its just a simple nod to christmas that isnt too valuable or precious

pizzaHeart · 02/12/2024 23:10

I’ve got some lovely chocolates from DH as a pre Christmas present a few days ago and bought myself a new reusable bag with a Christmassy design. It looks so cheerful and makes me smile ( my previous bag was a boring plain one)

Ginandloganberry · 02/12/2024 23:17

I've been doing a fair bit of shopping for myself op! Clothes mainly as I've lost a fair bit of weight since the summer but also perfumes and other bits. As the main / only organiser of life generally and certainly christmas in this house I feel duty bound to treat myself to bits on a regular basis.

FusionChefGeoff · 02/12/2024 23:26

My secret Santa wanted a load of John Lewis goodies so I threw in a lovely posh candle for myself and can't wait to get it lit tomorrow.

Mountainormolehills · 02/12/2024 23:27

Some Garden slippers from Amazon so I can keep my feet warm and dry crossing the garden to my office

Happiestwhen · 02/12/2024 23:32

Just bought myself a soda stream and some different flavours to go with it. It makes a nice change from water.

brbg2g · 02/12/2024 23:40

I love a good jigsaw OP. We have a 500 piece one on our coffee table and we just do a little bit each day. The kids love it. Right now we are doing a vintage Father Christmas one.
Enjoy!

My gift to myself is a good clear out round the house. Tonight I've filled one bag of toys for the school fayre and 5 bags for the charity shop of useless (to us) gadgets, ornaments, linens, clothes...

They are all getting dropped off tomorrow and I know I will feel lighter for it. Already have one bag in to school fayre last week too.
2025 me is going to thank 2024 me for this 😀

Our local JL gave away 1200 boxes of these yesterday and had none left. I had a Montezumas tube of 4 milk choc penguins instead.

Does eating the Xmas matchmakers, then replacing them, then eating them again count☺️

AcrossthePond55 · 03/12/2024 00:05

I have some Xmas Rollos and mint M&Ms stashed in a drawer. They're my 'me treats' for closer to Xmas to reward myself for 'jobs well done' for the Xmas chores I hate to do.

BrightOrangeDahlias · 03/12/2024 00:14

I went christmas shopping last week but most of the day was pottering in lovely shops for house inspiration (rennovating atm). I bought myself a pack of St Eval tea lights. "Embers" is the scent - they smell smoky like a wood fire, and little bit spicy too. Just lovely in the one room we've [almost] finished.

IlovePond · 03/12/2024 00:16

I’ve bought myself some of the Flying Tiger paint your own wooden decorations, (reduced now in the sale). I am going to do them tomorrow, despite my lack of artistic talent, and am looking forward to it!

I also need to have a huge clear out but that may have to wait.

StormingNorman · 03/12/2024 00:25

I bought a bottle of mulled wine. Love it x

Friendofdennis · 03/12/2024 00:27

I bought a wild cherry wood wick candle from TK Maxx and lit it whilst enjoying some florentines from Lidl and some mulled wine and bara brith.

Happyaslarry24 · 03/12/2024 00:35

I treated myself to a robotic hoover/mop last week and I’m loving it. Happy Xmas to me. 🎄

JennyForeigner · 03/12/2024 01:07

For the first time ever the Solovair outlet had a pair of boots in my size. They are 👌 and were bought as a present for my husband or someone in need of one to give to me.

Obviously I unpacked them, gave them to myself and am not striding warm footed and happy into my pre-Christmas game

JennyForeigner · 03/12/2024 01:07

*now, not 'not'!

superplumb · 03/12/2024 10:07

Afyer reading the waitrose thread, I got some of those cinnamon swirl biscuits things. Loved them so much I've purchased another 2 boxes.
Also got some opi nails stuff from qvc
