A jigsaw that I started & some lidle cocoa dusted almonds that I’ve finished!! 😂

Both have given me huge pleasure & thinking about them still feeling good.

Thought it might be nice to share little pre Xmas treats. Not intended as a place to stealth brag so no expensive financial purchases. Just a small treat that’s made you happy.

Instead of an advent calendar I bought myself some Christmas decorations to embroider.

A tub of cheeseballs and a lovely little snowman t light holder. 😊

I bought myself my first ever orchid yesterday as a present to myself (half price to clear at Tesco!)
I’m very proud of it!

I ordered a posh shower gel, whilst I was buying presents in the Black Friday sale.

I was given a book (short story collection) last month that I’ve been saving to read and on Thursday I will go and read it for an hour at the end of the day (my most hated time of day) with either a cocktail or a ludicrously expensive mocha in a naice café. It’s my birthday on Friday so I am treating myself in advance!

I’m a single mum to two lovely adult kids who try very hard every year to buy me something nice for Christmas. Sadly they generally miss the mark ( not on purpose, they try v hard) and it’s my only present
This year the one who organises my present is super busy at work and has to travel home so I bought a gift bag and have been gradually filling it with little treats just for me. I have told them I have sorted my present to save them any hassle. On Christmas Day they will hand it to me and we will all have a lovely time opening it. No pressure for them and little things I want for me. Nothing of much value, new pjs, my fav chocs, some small hobby items but I will love it and it takes the pressure off them ( they worry cause they know it’s the only present I get)

@ItsSoStimulatingBeingYourHat - lovely orchid! My sister gave me one last Xmas and it is somehow managing to cling on, despite my lack of green fingers. (I haven’t killed my Lidl Xmas cacti either, so I am getting better!)

I have ordered so many Christmas gifts for myself and none for anyone else! I am out of control 😂

But there is joy in spending, especially after budgeting all year, so I don’t feel bad!

In terms of little treats, I plan to try those M&S chocolate brownie “mince pies” this year! I had some of the mini Christmas Colin caterpillars last week with my cups of tea and it was fab.

Call me a sucker but I also just love getting the Christmas cups from coffee shops! Makes your coffee feel like a real treat!

I bought myself a mouli/rotary grater from TikTok Shop. All the hip young thangs are going mad for them, not realising our grannies had them, they aren't new!

I'm looking forward to it though, I love cheesy things but HATE grating and pre-grated cheese.

I saw a nice candle on M&S which I've added to my basket.

Picked up mascara and a brow shaping pen from NYX today while Christmas shopping. Just £15 but always nice to top up on a bit of make up, especially when it's a bargain.

I bought myself a candle advent calendar. I am enjoying lighting one each night!

I was originally going to buy myself a Neom Christmas Wish candle, but this is more fun.

I bought someone a Tilda doll for Christmas and ended up keeping it for myself and buying them something else because I fell in love with it.

Well, I bought a tiny box of chocolates to put with someone's present, but they seem to have vanished!

I bought myself a pair of christmassy socks which I am wearing now. Simple things bring me so much pleasure!

I bought a cheap new milk pan and some wicks so I could melt down the candles I have because they’d all used up the wicks but left wax up the side of the container. It’s made me very happy, like re-visiting my childhood hobbies!

A pair of red shoes, which I wore to brunch on Saturday. They are fab, and will go with lots in my wardrobe.
