Cadbury Original Hot Chocolate - has it gone AWOL??

We usually buy Cadbury 'Original' Hot Chocolate, which is made with hot milk, rather than the 'Instant' variety made with hot water. However, I looked for it at Tesco when doing the online shopping and it wasn't on the list - I don't mean "out of stock", but simply vanished. I went round to our local mini supermarkets and couldn't find it there either. Is something sinister going on? 🧐

I don't know, I was in Tesco today and fancied some, but not on the shelves so I bought costa hot chocolate. Maybe a delay from the supplier.

My mate has scoured our area there is none. She's been told it may be a bean issue of some sort

I can't get my from Tesco either but managed to get some in Sainsbury's last weekend.

Hoping I can get some more this week.

Tesco seems to be pulling various products. Own brand loose tea, white grapefruit juice, organic baked beans are three we now miss.

We have a Tesco Metro, a Little Waitrose, and a Sainsbury's Local on our high street and none of them have it. 😢

My Amazon subscribe and save has been suspended this month as they can’t get it

There is a global cocoa shortage which might have something to do with it?

I got some in Sainsburys a couple of weeks ago.

I bought some from a corner shop (Premier) last week but couldn’t get it in Tesco or Sainsburys.

I've seen it in home bargains and farm foods

I've been trying to get some for weeks, I've tried Sainsbury's, Morrisons & several Tescos but absolutely nothing

Ooh er I was just about to make one but I'll be rationing my tub now!

I was told by my local shop that it was recalled due to consistency issues (it wasn’t mixing properly). I haven’t been able to get in in the bigger supermarkets either!

This gives me hope that it might be temporary!
