Darkchocolatte · 19/11/2024 15:35

£150 per week, 3 adults 2 DC1 3 and DC2 1 month old

stackhead · 19/11/2024 15:37

£90-120 per week depending on toiletries/cleaning needs. This includes formula and nappies.

2 adults, 2dc (5 & 6 weeks)

Beezknees · 19/11/2024 15:42

1 adult and 1 teenage boy, about £70 per week. Includes everything (toiletries, alcohol, hamster bedding and food) 16yo DS eats more than me to be honest.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 19/11/2024 15:42

@heartbroken22 so 5 total? That seems really good!

We're 3 - 2 adults and 1 child, but I'm drowning in all life admin so there's lots of pre-chopped/prepared stuff and snacks. I think we average £180-200 a week. This does include protein bars/shakes.

lollypopsforme · 19/11/2024 15:43

£80-£100 a month.

Happiestwhen · 19/11/2024 15:47

I do a big online shop for approx £200 once a month ( on payday!) And we spend about £100 per week the other weeks. So probably £500 per month/ £125 per week 2 adults , 4 dcs (young)

Happiestwhen · 19/11/2024 15:49

Forgot to say Tesco mainly, sometimes Lidl.

Uokhunnnn · 19/11/2024 15:50

£120ish per week for 4 (2 kids). More if you count the dog’s food!

Kitkat1523 · 19/11/2024 15:52

60 quid a week, 2 adults and a dog……includes cleaning stuff and toiletries….combination of Aldi, home bargain and Morrisons ( all within walking distance of home so tend to pick up bits as the week goes along)

DominoRules · 19/11/2024 15:53

2 adults and 2 teen DSs - probably about 250 per week. 150 in Tesco then 60/70 at butchers and a 20/30 top up shop. Does include all toiletries and cleaning stuff but not pet food.

You must earn well…because I don’t know anyone who could spend that per week

allmycats · 19/11/2024 16:11

To those saying £60 a week for 2 adults for absolutely everything, please be so kind as to post 2 or 3 weeks shopping lists.

ItsyWincy · 19/11/2024 16:12

2 adults 2 children. £90 per week.

daisydalrymple · 19/11/2024 19:52

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/11/2024 19:54

2 adults, 2 preschool age kids, about £800-900 a month for all food (3 meals and snacks every day) and household stuff, some booze and nappies/wipes for one child

HansHolbein · 19/11/2024 19:56

2 adults 2 children

It had crept up to about £160 per week at Waitrose and as the quality was decreasing and what I could get for my money was getting less and less, I decided to try elsewhere.

I’ve now got it down to about £110-120 and I’m happy with that. I get the meat from the butcher and the other stuff from Sainsbury’s or Lidl.

BCBird · 19/11/2024 20:02

80 pound minimum. 1 adult. Don't drink.

Comedycook · 19/11/2024 20:04

2 adults, 2 teens

About £200 a week... rarely less, often more. I'm trying to keep track as we were getting out of control.

Both DC take packed lunch to school and dh WFH ..

Doggymummar · 19/11/2024 20:13

TalesOfTheGoldMonkey · 19/11/2024 20:13

I spent £320 at Lidl this weekend. I had 10% off so did the big shop. It should last us for about 3 weeks with only small top ups for bread and fruit. That also included all the stocking fillers for Xmas. All the meat and fish has been frozen.

3 adults and 3 teenagers.

TalesOfTheGoldMonkey · 19/11/2024 20:16

(Just to clarify, after the 10% discount it came to £290)

Mountainhowl · 19/11/2024 20:21

2 adults, 2 kids (1 who eats essentially adult portions), I spend £120-130 a week at aldi, including toiletries, cleaning stuff and dog food, no top up shop needed

Both kids have school dinners so no weekday lunches though

Stupidwolf · 19/11/2024 20:25

2 adults, 3 young children and 2 cats, all food, nappies, cleaning products, booze and cat food £125 every 5-6 days so just under a week. Works out at about 700 a month
