What's for dinner this week?

Hey all,

I'm into an 'everything is boring and repetitive' meals cycle again so want to ask, what are the next meals you've planned or will be having this week?

In our home there's 2 adults (share the cooking) two teens and one smaller child. So anything that is a meal that goes quite far is willingly accepted as an idea! Usually spend about half an hour cooking in the evenings.

Ideas please?

We usually have on an average week
Pasta with sauce / garlic bread
Fajitas/ enchiladas/ quesadillas
Curry and rice
Fish and veg
Full English
Roast
Pizza (sometimes bought sometimes I make them)

@GiddyRobin I want to come over to yours for dinner, your meals sound divine!

I will save you a plate, always room for one more! 😁 We're a bit cooking mad in this house. Just avoid DH's tuna curry 🤢, or my lazy meal of a bowl of potatoes and crusty bread haha!

Jacket potatoes tonight - scooped out the inside, mixed with cheese, bacon & chicken, back in the oven to crisp & serve with beans. Minimal effort but a slightly longer cooking time.

In the last few days we’ve had:

Halloumi burgers with hash browns, lettuce, tzatziki and chilli dipping sauce

Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce with cheesy garlic bread

Chilli con carne layered in nachos in the oven with cheese on top (aka Mexican lasagne) with sour cream, guac and rice.

A version of nasi goreng, basically rice and veg with fried egg on top

Big fat bacon chops with chips, egg and beans.

Steak and broccoli stir fry from the farm shop, with noodles and spring rolls.

Toad in the hole, kids favourite. Just seen this done with pigs in blankets and stuffing balls in, so we’ll do that next time.

Not much veg in there, good job we all like fruit!

Wow chicken 4 times do you have any veggie meals ?

The thread was to get ideas for what to cook, not an invitation to be judged on moral choices.

ViciousCurrentBun · 25/11/2024 07:11
