Uneven lip filler results ?!

Catchingrainbows · 05/11/2024 06:54

I got lip filler for the first time last Monday

My right side was much more swollen than my left, it’s come down a lot but it’s still present.

I only got 0.25ml of Juvederm.

Any experience with this??

Uneven lip filler results ?!

Did you go back to where you had it done and show them?

I messaged the practitioner a couple of days after and she said allow time for them to settle down a bit as it’s too early to tell. It’s been a week now, not sure if I should give it another week or so, or if they should have healed now?!

Very poor result. Uneven, no shape, already looks migrated. Who was the practitioner?

TouchOfSilverShampoo · 05/11/2024 07:20

It doesn't look migrated it looks like she's put all the 0.25 in one place?

Wouldn't have thought you would get much of a result with such little volume. I would potentially get it dissolved, wait a few weeks and find another recommend practitioner and go for at least 0.5.

Healing is two weeks and it may just be swollen but really by now you'll get a good idea of the overall outcome.

Changeyourfuckingcar · 05/11/2024 07:21

Oh dear. I’m really sorry because I’m sure you’re already feeling rubbish about it but that looks really badly done. I would be expecting either a full refund or for them or another, reputable, practitioner to ’make good’ … preferably someone else! Getting the filler dissolved would be a good first step, I think.

Thank you, I’ll wait another week and contact her.

I feel to nervous to go again so if I was dissolve I don’t think I’d have it put back after waiting and deciding for years and now this outcome

I would contact her again today with that photo. It takes around 2 weeks to get the final results but that looks too far off to me.

I'd let her try and correct it.

Vax · 05/11/2024 08:29

Also .25 is absolutely tiny. I had .5 first time and that's barely noticeable. Did she not put any in your bottom lip?

It's a shame you've had a bad experience after your first go.

When she did it, did you feel her move around your lips? Or did she literally just do it in one place?

To be fair, the "swollen" part looks great, it just needs to be even!

None in my bottom lip I didn’t want it
I initially went in there for 0.5 but she was showing me as she was going along and I wanted her stop there… my lips are super super tiny originally

When I’ve had mine they said to give them two weeks.
I have never heard of anyone having 0.25ml - There’s probably not enough filler to give a good result.

This sounds like you’re doing then. You should have let her finish.

Most wouldn’t just do top lip with out evening out the bottom lip too. Was she new?

tbh that amount it paltry and won’t give any volume or shape. She hasn’t tried to define your cupids bow and she could have pulled your bottom lip down a bit to make it look fuller - I only have 0.5 mil in mine and I get all that done.

I have a great lady who will say ‘no that will not look good, this is what we need to do’ - maybe when you told her stop she literally stopped mid flow.

Go back. I don’t think you need it
dissolving just completing.

Vax · 05/11/2024 18:10

I think the issue is that you stopped her before she had finished. If you go back and let her compete the lip I bet you'll be happy with the results.

I've not heard of top lip only but maybe that's a thing that some people have. I like both done for balance. I only have .7 and it's perfect.

Skybluepinky · 05/11/2024 18:28

Bodge job it’s already migrated and uneven, not sure I’d trust them to sort it out.

My thoughts exactly.

xoxo87 · 05/11/2024 18:50

I think the problem is you've tried to tell her to do her job.

By not having any in the bottom lip it looks "shrivelled" and not hydrated compared to the top even if you forget about how uneven it is. Even a small amount of filler will just help make the lips look hydrated.

The whole look is off. But you shouldn't have told her to stop, you should have let her finish. It looks like she's done one side of the top and not the other.

Either let her fix it or get dissolved and go elsewhere.

Summerhillsquare · 05/11/2024 19:22

It's the contrast between bottom and top. Top isn't that uneven and none of us are naturally symmetrical anyway. Go back for the lower lip is my advice. I did the same the first time cos it was so painful! My doc says lower lip should be 50% fuller than top.

How can you say it doesn't look migrated 🙄

GreyBlackLove · 05/11/2024 20:06

I don't think it looks like the filler has migrated, I think it looks as though only one half of the top lip has been done. Which, in all fairness, sounds like you asked for in the chair.

If you genuinely did stop her halfway through, then it should be simple enough to have them balanced. Though I'd question any practitioner who didn't stop to explain that you'd see uneven and unimpressive results with 0.25ml and only half the lips done.

TouchOfSilverShampoo · 06/11/2024 06:03

@AlwaysGinPlease Because she had it done about five minutes ago and it's all in one place. It's not migrated.
