What’s for dinner (or tea) in your house tonight?

We had takeaway last night so thinking we should have something else tonight but want something nice while we watch Strictly. It’s my birthday tomorrow so DH will say my choice but I don’t want to make any more choices so hoping for inspiration here!

DH cooked as I'm feeling under the weather - he made Spanish style pork and rice. Lots of peppers and quite pleasantly spicy.

crockpot going outside (too hot to heat house) with chicken chili. Will top with sour cream and grated cheddar and serve with fresh crusty baguette.

Lentils, caramelised onions, spinach and roasted tomatoes with honey fried halloumi ontop.

Cottage pie with veg and gravy

Toffee apple cake and double cream for pudding

Pork loin steaks, noodles with Chinese style sauce, peas and sweetcorn.

We're trying to use up stuff out of our freezers so it's meatballs and baked beans this evening.
Tomorrow DH is having lamb chops and I'm having fish fingers.
Monday he is having chilli and I'm having chicken korma.
Tuesday is freezer roulette with something from an unlabelled container
Wednesday is sausagemeat meatballs with home-made tomato sauce (both from the freezer) and pasta
Thursday is pork tenderloin medallions with boursin and cider sauce, new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli (my youngest daughter comes to stay on Thursday for a few days)
Friday is home made fish pie
Saturday is slow cooked pork belly, home made apple sauce, soft white rolls and home made coleslaw followed by chocolate orange cake (it's my birthday)

Sunday is pizza and salad
Haven't got beyond that!

I made spinach and ricotta cannelloni, I’ve tweaked the recipe which I think is called Crespoline in the cook book.

I made homemade Butter Chicken with LOTS of spices and butter, coconut milk and cream in the tomato based sauce.
Ladled it over basmati rice, with a side of roasted cauliflower, and a kale salad with cranberries and ranch dressing.

Tiny air fryer roast dinner. Chopped up new potatoes and baby carrots, nice fat sausage on top. About 25 mins in the air fryer with gravy added for the last 5 mins. Served with peas.

Katsu chicken

Courgette, butternut squash, red onion, potato, sausage traybake with cous cous. Drizzled with balsamic glaze and feta- works nicely.
Very filling and warming in prep for a big fireworks gathering at a friend's house this evening.

Also have my eye on the apple strudel I defrosted earlier, might warm some and wrap in foil to eat en route!
