What’s for dinner (or tea) in your house tonight?

We had takeaway last night so thinking we should have something else tonight but want something nice while we watch Strictly. It’s my birthday tomorrow so DH will say my choice but I don’t want to make any more choices so hoping for inspiration here!

Homemade beef burgers,fried onions,salad and chips

a bottle of lucozade sport, healthy 😅feeling sick and just can’t face cooking for myself! The what’s your favourite crisp thread is tempting me to order a chippy though with lashings of salt, as I don’t have any crisps in and you can’t beat a good chip butty to hit that salty potatoy spot.

Salmon fillets with Mediterranean veg .

We were out for lunch so having baked Camembert with crusty bread from the farmers market this evening 🤤

Pork roast. Pork had todays date on and I didn’t want to put it in the freezer 🙈

Chinese takeaway. I have to drive to collect it as we live in the back of beyond and they don't deliver.

Lasagne, had taken hours but is looking lovely in the oven.

DD has been poorly and doesn’t eat very much at the best times (teenager) and she really fancied it, so I happily obliged

Sainsbury's four cheese and caramelised red onion pizza, with extra a bits as they are stingy on the ingredients

I love the cream cheese stuffed peppers on them

Pasta with courgette and broccoli, garlic, olive oil and shit loads of Parmesan x

Halloumi kebabs with sweet chilli sauce and salad.

Fireworks and then a Nando’s delivery. We’ve lit the patio heaters so the DCs can toast some marshmallows.

DP is making curry tonight, butter chicken, side of saag aloo, jeera rice and raita. Amazing smells are coming from the kitchen and I can't wait cos I'm starving

A very large bowl of porridge with cocoa powder stirred in.

Did a roast dinner in the end. Just finished it as taking DD to her friend's party shortly.

Our go to when we have pretty much nothing in the house. Linguine puttanesca. Usually we’d have a salad too, but there is really nothing in the fridge, so it’s all pantry stuff.

We are on clear out the freezer for Christmas mode, so fajitas leftovers, freshened up with some extra veg and (obs) fresh tortillas and sides

I was out for lunch for my mums birthday, so I had fishcakes, greens, and creamy white wine sauce, so I'm not really hungry.

DH is doing tuna steaks with sauce, garlicky green beans and rice. Blue cheese and ripe pear. About to open the wine.

I'm on my own tonight, so have reserved a carvery through TooGoodToGo to pick up on a bit of couldn't be bothered cooking tonight, but can't really justify the cost of a take away.

Had everything in for tomorrow but then plans had to change unexpectedly so having it tonight instead.

Boozy After Eight hot chocolate afterwards in lieu of dessert.

We’re also doing a Sunday roast on a Saturday night 😁

Stroganoff with either rice or tagliatelle accompanied by a glass or two of Argentinian Malbec.

Made a chicken, ham and leek pie, to be served with roast mini spuds (DH) or mash (me).
Also made a red berry meringue roulade for dessert. Hand whipped it all, so recovering with a G&T!
