Pls help me track down this actor…

Last year we saw the most hilarious actor in panto. He was brilliant, had an amazing singing voice and made us cry with laughter.

We’d love to see him again this year, but he shares a name with a famous song writer and Googling doesn’t throw up any results.

Is there any other way of finding out whether this comic genius is in panto again this year?

Sorry, I don’t want to name him as he’s not particularly famous and would probably be bemused at being the subject of a MN post.

This is a great review which is what all actors would like yet you are being so petty and mealy mouthed about not naming him - when if you did, other people might be interested in going to see him.

And you are asking for help to find whether he is another panto -something that we collectively could probably do easily if we knew his name - without naming him?

This takes the biscuit for low-brow MN dense posting and there is much competition for that.

I have a not-famous but jobbing actor.whos been on the tele in my wider family op. Lovely as they come, but would be disproportionately thrilled at any glowing review, even from Mumsnet 😄 He's not in panto though, far too serious for all that - vair, vair serious with serious drama and comedy roles alike.

Good luck finding him! And good luck the poor chap, if he has a few hundred mnners turn up to his next panto....!

@Cannotgetyou I've worked it out John Lennon (not that one) will be appearing in Peter Pan at the Coventry Rep from November 27th. Bobby Davro is playing Nanny the Dog.

Even more reason to name him. He’s an actor! Publicity is needed.

Don't actors who share names with other famous people change their name anyway so people don't get confused and they can get their own recognition. Not only has this actor not done that but now one of his fans is refusing to name him so this brilliant funny talented man gets no further recognition lol.

I reckon OP hooked up with him after the show & is now stalking him - hence it being too outing to name him as he'd know exactly who she is.

Is it Andy Ford? He does the Bristol Hippodrome panto most years, but I’ve noticed that he’s not doing it this year. If it IS him, I doubt he’d care about being named.

Decidedly weird. Why on earth would you not name the actor and how can the actor have the same name as a famous singer. Equity rules require anyone in showbizz to change their name if it the same as another performer. You could do this by simply adding your middle name, for example Harry Corbett (Sooty) and Harry H Corbett (Steptoe and son). Either way, he cannot have the same name. Something fishy about all of this.

Thought I might get to the end of the thread and find he'd be named.
