Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just having my first cuppa of the day, with dd1. I'm in my kitchen spot & she's sat opposite me chattering away.

I think today will be a very slow & moochy kind of day here. Yesterday was hard all round. Plus the weather looks awful, although it doesn't seem to be raining at the moment.

I want to get some more things listed on Vinted maybe, before I ask my dad to take the unsold items to the charity shop at half term.

Tea will be something quick and easy from the freezer, followed by fruit and ice cream or cream 😋

Our two pigs were dispatched on Thursday and returned to us in two large crates late last night so DP has gone to buy freezer bags and we will spend most of the day sorting, labelling, bagging and packing.

Morning. I’m having tea and toast in my apartment on holiday. Looks like another lovely day. Everyone awake bar DD.

Plans today, lie next to pool and read, listen to podcasts and play in pool with the kids. Not much else to be honest!

We have spend so much time just relaxing and doing nothing. Feel slightly guilty but it’s much needed. I’ve been ill for so long and the heat here is definitely helping. It’s been a busy few months so everyone is enjoying the slow pace.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I have had two coffees and a slice of toast, showered, stripped the bed and sorted the washing. The sheets etc are in at the moment. I've been to Aldi and put the food away, tidied the kitchen and I'm having a cuppa. Shortly I'll go out to meet a friend for second breakfast and a wander round the garden centre. This afternoon will be housework stuff. Have a good day all

Just about to take DS to football then lunch at home before picking up his friend and taking them to a trampoline park and back here for tea. I'm supposed to be out with my friend tonight but she's suddenly decided she needs to be back by 6pm so that looks unlikely now. Gutted, was looking forward to some nice food and drinks!

On second coffee

Just put a second load of washing in the machine and folded what was in tumble dryer.
Just tidying round and then off out to see family member for a couple of hours to which I'm really looking forward to.

Off food shopping this afternoon with dh and dd and stop for lunch and a coffee beforehand.

Plan this afternoon after unpacking shopping is to try and get into the loft to make a start on clearing it as it's so bad and I need to get to some stuff up there so wish me luck

Morning! I had a lovely lie in this morning while DH and DS watched a film. I’m now enjoying a coffee in my pyjamas enjoying the brilliant sunshine pouring in through the windows. We’re going to have sausage sandwiches and then I’ll be pottering around the house, reading some more of my book and should probably clear out DS old toys as I’ve been meaning to do. Later this afternoon we’re off to a pub garden to celebrate a relatives birthday with a few pints. I’m not sure what we’re doing this evening but we’ll just see how the afternoon goes!

A black sky and pouring rain here in my corner of Scotland means I'm still in bed with the wife and the dogs and coffee. Perfect way to start a day really.

No plans today. We were going to go to a pumpkin patch but that's been rained off so maybe an indoor day of doing bits and bobs, we've got a new jigsaw from the charity shop waiting to be started. We will have to venture out to Aldi at some point for dinner.

Been shopping, all packed away. Now finalising some work for a meeting next week - numbers and 'what if' scenarios and I have to reach a recommendation before I pack up today. Off to Chipping Campden at 12 to buy a main Christmas present. Exactly the one they want so I am pleased. When I get back I will pick the last of the raspberries, clean the grate and the litter tray. Then take meter readings and update online. Lots of youngsters round for supper this evening so will start preparing a meal around 6pm. Torn between chicken and leek pie or risotto with mushroom and vermouth. The risotto probably as easier. Can't believe its not even 10am yet, but I was at the supermarket at 5.55 so as not to waste a minute. Will also check later to see if the Northern Lights are likely to reappear. I saw then two nights ago - not much, just a very small wedge of green in the distance just above the horizon.

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. I have a cold which has been brewing for quite a few days so feeling a bit sorry for myself 😢Work at 12 but will dose myself up. The dishwasher is on & there’s at least another load to do. My cuppa has gone cold so might make a fresh one in a min. DD15 needs passport photos. She’s awake but hasn’t emerged from her pit yet. Tea is sorted - butcher’s meatballs with a jar of Lebanese sauce & a packet of flavoured couscous. DH is only working til lunchtime then plans to go for a bike ride if it stays dry. Watching The Voice tonight & I might catch up with “ All Creatures Great & Small” although it’s not DH’s cup of tea. Love that programme!

Good morning everyone. For the first time in a long time we have all 5 of us at home today. Dh and dd20 both have the day off work so I’ll make everyone a cooked breakfast once we’re all awake - there’s just me, dh and dd10 awake at the moment.

I didn’t do the big top to bottom house clean I like to do yesterday so the house needs a good scrub but I’m not in the mood for cleaning today so I’ll wait til tomorrow for that and have a chilled day today.

I’m waiting for the Tesco shop to be delivered then I’ll get showered and dressed and put some washing on. Dd10 is going into town with a friend and friend’s mum so I’ll need to draw some cash out to give to her then she’s going to a school friend’s house for a sleepover at 3pm. Dd20 and dd17 both have friends coming to stay tonight so I’ve no idea if they’ll go out or stay in but it leaves me and dh free so we plan to walk into town for an hour or two, have a couple of drinks and dinner out somewhere together then we’ll probably come home around 7. Dh is going to meet a couple of friends later tonight and I don’t want to go so I’ll grab some nice snacks from the shop and watch a film instead.

I've had a long lay in and just about to get up and make coffee and a round of toast. DS is downstairs watching tv and my DM is coming round to swap some fresh eggs for some apples off my tree.
Got to get to the Big Asda today for a few bits so I can cook more apple related things and then something for tea.
Made loads of chutney last week for Christmas presents. I think I'll probably make a crumble and a cake today.
DC don't appear to want to go anywhere today so just pottering, tidying and cooking.

Tomorrow we're seeing some friends, and possibly pumpkin picking.

I've put in 6 job applications over the last two weeks so I probably need to do a little job hunting this weekend and see what, if anything, is available.

I woke up to a phonecall from my mental health team who are increasing my meds. Had a difficult few weeks and I've been struggling. I have kept myself busy by decluttering and I have a million bags to take to the tip. I'm newly single and trying to focus a bit more today. Then I'm off to get some paint and redo my bedroom. Always wanted it white, clean and relaxing but xdp didn't like white so I will do it how I want now. He gave me two kittens for my birthday so I'm going to try and introduce to my ddog today. Waiting for my uncle to phone so he can help me focus.
My days feel really long at the moment so trying to keep busy and get these early days over and done with. Urgh.

Morning everyone. Also sorry for myself with cold, we are on a weekend away and DH and kids have just had to go out on a lovely walk to a waterfall without me as I barely slept and feel awful. Trying to tell myself that it’s ok to laze about and use a holiday like that, but it feels like a waste. At least sitting up my sinuses feel less sore than they did during the night. Enjoy your Saturdays.

@Eyesopenwideawake you must have a lot of freezer space! Do you get everything back? The whole head etc? If so do you use it all? I'm just thinking of an old River Cottage programme where Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall was serving up deep fried pigs ears I think. A step too far for me, but I'd have a good to at using everything I could.

We are going out in about half an hour. I have seen that Aldi's Special Buys for Thursday included wooden toys and they look really nice. My grandson will be 3 just after Christmas so we're going to have a look to see if our local Aldi has any.
We're also going to pop in to B&M to see if they have any Instant rice pots. I had a Sharwoods chicken Korma instant curry rice pot yesterday that had been in the cupboard for a couple of months and really liked it. Looking online though it seems to have been discontinued, so I'm hoping that B&M might have some old stock.
Then we're lunching at McDonald's, as it is right next to B&M, before I'm going for a flu jab. After that it is straight home for a nap! That will take all my energy for today.

I might take a PPs advice and pop some stuff on Vinted. In urgent need of some cash!

Will be building some IKEA furniture - can’t wait for that!

Morning all. Currently having a cuppa in bed and have a wash on. Going to get up shortly and sort the washing, run the hoover round and help unpack the shopping when it arrives. Dh and I are contemplating doing something this afternoon. Might see if we can convince any of the teens to come.

My DD’s home from university for the weekend dropped her in town to get her nails done then I popped to Sainsburys for a few bits
Just got back from walking the dog and now it’s started to rain. I’m having an almond croissant (my weekend treat) and a coffee and watching coronation street
Will pick Dd up from town then we are going to a local tearoom for lunch
Going to put some bits on Vinted later and watch tv or read
Dd’s going out with friends tonight for a meal and cocktails for one of the girls birthday’s so I’ll be taxi driver
Dh is away with work for a month so nice to have Dd home

We are off for a walk around Avebury shortly.

I was up early as we had a new tv being delivered any time after 7am. They were here and gone by 7.15!

I have had quite a few cups of tea and some toast. Have a towel wash on. Will change a bed and wash bedding today too.

I have some returns to post and some things to take back to Next but they are in opposite directions. Also have some things to take to the charity shop. Which is near the post office so maybe I’ll do that.

Then I want to steam clean a cushion off the sofa to see if it helps or if I need to get the professionals in.

Also need to vacuum and then I’m going to read my book for an hour in the afternoon.

No idea what’s for dinner yet.

@DilemmaDelilah - I saw a post on FB moaning about people buying up all of the wooden toys from Aldi and selling them for vastly inflated prices on eBay etc. Hope they haven’t done that near you. Good luck!

Good morning all. Said goodbye to dd1 this morning, she's driving back to Manchester to see boyfriend, in her new car! I kept telling her, drive carefully, don't break the speed limit (speaking from experience!) etc. May see her before Christmas, might not. She freely admits she mainly comes back to see the cats 😅. Miss her already

Just having a coffee then off to walk friend's dog. Used to do it every week but I've been working every Saturday for ages so nice to have a weekend off

Good morning, I have just got back from a rainy dog walk and am enjoying a coffee. It’s cold here and I’m feeling ropey after my jabs on Thursday ☹️, very flu -like. At least I slept better last night despite a very sore arm.
So, not intending to do much today, DH can walk the dog later, I did all the housework yesterday and got three loads dried outside.
will light the wood burner later and hunker down with my embroidery, an audiobook and plenty of fluids.

Having an unheard of Saturday lie in here, football cancelled.
H is making coffee, youngster making eggs on toast.

Mocks revision, homework, plan is to get a big bulk of stuff done today, to have a more fun day tomorrow.

Might finish rearranging porch for winter as it's a bit nippy today.
