I often look at the comments if it's a particularly tricky or obscure puzzle and today there are a lot of complaints about it being American-centric again.

But... also, a comment from a Connections moderator who says they are currently trialling "a new phrase-guessing puzzle" called Zorse.

It's only available as a beta version in Canada atm, but sounds like it might be a good alternative to Connections? (Or are phrases even less translatable?!)

Any Canadians here able to report?!

No but I really like the quick crossword.

I'm in Canada. Not sure I'm a fan of Zorse. I've only played it twice though so I'll give it a bit longer.

The first one I tried (yesterday) was so obvious that I spotted the answer as soon as I opened the puzzle, so that felt pointless, and then today's beat me even after using up all of the "reveal a letter" chances.

Connections beat me today, too, so I lost my 2 week long streak 😠

Could see the purple connection but eliminating the blues was difficult. Just about got there .

Phrazle is a phrase puzzle, I do it every day. It seems to have a good balance of British and American phrases.

Yes purple first as discarded yellow as being a red herring.

@JaneJeffer - I know what you mean about feeling stupid when others seem to get it really easily.

I haven’t tried Tiles. Will give it a go. I like the quick crossword too. And the big one on Mondays. It’s too hard after that!
