A guy was messaging me for a little while. The meet up seemed to keep being delayed so I sort of had to distance as I hate becoming too invested. I just get scared. Anyway, he asked me how I was last night then told me “still got a cold but gotta keep smiling” then proceeded to send me a video of himself, smiling and moving round in bed with a very obvious filter.

My body was cringing. Why on earth are people like this. Maybe my autism makes me too blunt. But what the actual heck.

I don't understand either, I mean it sounds weird, but what - did he have a cold? As in a virus? He filmed himself being unwell in bed? Sniffling? What was the filter?

Because why would a shirtless man in bed filming himself with a filter be associated with women?

So I would consider the following message to be part of his emotional education.

"I received your message, it was not pleasant quite honestly. If this is how you try to entice women to spend time with you then you should reconsider. An unsolicited message of you, heavily filtered and half naked in your bed, is not a leg opener. Show respect and act with dignity and you will do much better. Good luck for the future"

I think the idea that this is effeminate is because it's the kind of thing you might expect some women would do - the trouble is, guys would find it sexy to receive a video like this from a woman. So they think it's the kind of thing we'd love to see from them too 🤣

I think you are right.

Its behind the "dick pic" thing. They would be over the moon to receive a picture of a womans gentials, so assume that them getting their tackle out would get us all of a quiver.

It wouldnt be so bad but it isnt like they dont know that getting a picture of the last chicken in the shop is about the biggest turn off you can get! We have been telling them for long enough!
