Programmes you associate with newborn stage

I was reminiscing with my husband recently. I have twin girls, when we first brought them home (they were prem) we were up to very 3 hours.

The tv programmes I remember so well are

game of thrones - final season. We always watched the episode at 2am when we were up for a feed 😂

during the day I watched greys anatomy

also when they had their first injections (we were extremely nervous about this for reasons that I won’t go into). We stayed up all night to keep an eye on them and to top them up with calpol. We watched the entire season of Chernobyl on sky in one night 😂

what programmes do you associate with the newborn stage?

Bejing Olympics..vividly remember watching Rebecca Adlington winning her gold medals in the very early morning with my tiny newborn..
watched a lot of Sex and the City in the middle of the night too..and Portland Babies..how the rich delivered their babies (quite a contrast to the somewhat grim experience I’d just been through at Nottingham QMC…used to make me very emotional!!
Also some American show about what happened in the first few days when a couple brought their newborn home..can’t remember what it was called!

I found some old series on Sky glass I binge watched... Frankie, Stella, Keeping Faith and then Buffy The Vampire Slayer 🙈

Kala1990 · 12/08/2024 22:57

Bridgerton
Derry Girls
The Other One
Inside No 9 - this randomly auto played after another show I was watching finished, and I was trapped under a napping baby with the remote out of reach. So I just watched it and was addicted, one of my favourite shows ever. Hadn’t heard of it before then either.

In the middle of precious sleep he woke me up to tell me about this hilarious phrase!!!!

Funnily enough I watched every series of Bb except the newborn year . If Ds was asleep I was.

Desperate housewives box set 50 minutes program the length of an avarage night feed . Got through a lot

Flammekuche · 12/08/2024 23:08

Mary Beard’s Meet the Romans, Bettany Hughes’ Treasures of the World and the Hairy Bikers Bakeation. Also the 2012 Olympics. I remember watching Mo Farah’s second race with a very new DS.
