What colour is your bedroom?

Need to redecorate our bedroom. Would love to get more inspiration. If you recently redecorated- what colour did you pick? We used to have F&B smoke room green but not sure if that's overdone really. Lounge/kitchen is taupe.

White with warm wood furniture and a cast iron grey bed.
Lots of colourful bedding
A huge picture of the rainforest on one wall.

I have a little box room for myself and that is painted in pale lilac with white bookcases and a white day bed. Currently looking at blinds but can't decide on the colour.

Little Greene’s Mid Azure Green. It’s a very light room so can take a bold colour.

Mine's cream with pale wood floor.
White skirtings and ceiling and white wooden blinds.
I put up Hessian coloured curtains and bedding, but it was too depressing, so I've changed it to burnt orange.

Off white with one wallpapered wall (light paste to damask print)
we have dark grey and purple striped carped (it’s does work as the room is huge and the bed is wooden white and so it doesn’t seem too much

We decided to go dark because the rest of our house is light and airy, so it's a very deep forest green with industrial decor and gold accents. Never had a dark bedroom before, never slept better since we did it!

Ooh, we did something similar and painted our bedroom an aubergine colour. It's now called our 'womb' and we sleep like babies! One problem is that catching mosquitos is nigh impossible because we can't see the buggers against the walls!

Teenagehorrorbag · 10/08/2024 20:57

Ours is a sort of pale burnt orange. DD just repainted hers and changed it from pale lilac to B&Q mixed colour 'nectar' - it's a bright yellowy-orange. We keep thinking she's left her light on.......😀

Ours is great but we are under the trees and the room could be a bit dull - you should think about what natural light you get etc.

Trendy now is that sort of French navy colour. Maybe not for all four walls - but it can be quite striking.

Olive green and light beige/natural

Dulux Dusted Fondant, oak furniture, curtains and bedspread are a dark purple/ plum, white bed linen.

My favourite bedroom colour was a beautiful cornflower blue in our previous house, it was so calm and restful.

Denim drift here too! Recently done. Love it so much we used it in the living room too! Jasmine white on other walls

I find pastels very restful. My room is a light aqua colour. I love it. I had the same colour in my former house because I find it promotes peace and relaxation.

The colour looks like this;

Dulux Sapphire Salute on every wall. I had to be brave but the best thing we did was to go for strong paint colours in our house. It feels cozy and has personality. Plus it's only paint, simple enough to change if you need to!

We've got white wooden bedside tables and wardrobes and a very pale pink duvet and pillows which looks great against the blue. Picture to show you the colour, sadly not my room.

Me too! I love it, such a beautiful rich blue. We have white furniture and blinds which brightens the room and like pale blue/pinky duvet covers.

@GameOfJones what colour is your bed? We need a new one. Thinking of a grey fabric one, can't see a nice white one anywhere although I think it will look good.

mrssunshinexxx · 10/08/2024 21:27

Sulking room pink

CLEO42 · 10/08/2024 21:34

White walls with a white sloped ceiling, white/pale grey floorboards, dark green curtains, duck egg blue rugs, dark green ottoman, grey wardrobes and an antique bleached oak dressing table. Duck egg print, dark green embossed leaf pattern, or antique grey & white bedding.

We’ve had it like this for 4 years. I’m starting to lean towards some pinks or terracotta tones to replace the white walls and ceiling.

FindingNeverland28 · 12/08/2024 19:49

White with one pale blue wall. Our furniture has been painted duck egg blue as well.

Ratherbeaspoonthanafork · 13/08/2024 07:07

We went for a F&B dupe called Cromarty a very pale green almost neutral colour in our north facing bedroom (its fresh and restful), we have ivory/cream roman black out blinds (as I hate matchy curtains as the bedding fades more as it is washed more frequently) and we have a more brightly coloured duvet.

Thank you for the different suggestions. Not heard some of these paint colours so will check them out.

Walls are a light neutral shade called 'stone' and the curtains are this. Bedspread matching colour but patterned. Have lots of light beech woodwork in the room and light carpet so overall vibe is very bright and Scandi.

Mine's white walls, white wardrobes and an oak floor. I have a walnut bed and white bed linen. There are thick yellow gold woven curtains and behind the bed, a white background wallpaper with flowers. That sounds horrendous but the wallpaper is by Christian Lacroix and it's fab. It was hideously expensive and my first attempt at wallpapering anything. Thank God I didn't mess up and I love my bedroom.

It sound horrific thoughBlush

Nice chalky grey but with a multicoloured abstract hand-painted mural on one wall. Definitely not to everyone’s taste
