Best baked beans?

What are the best beans for me?
Heinz beans are too sweet for us.
I usually buy Tesco reduced salt and sugar and add a tablespoon of tomato purée.
We tried some organic beans from Norway but didn't like the lumps of tomato.
Recommendations please. High bean to sauce ratio, lots of tomato flavour, more savoury than sweet.

Well, yes, I was 25 when they launched, definitely feel old now there's posters who were brought up on branstom baked beans 😂

The supermarket ones are great if you add a splash of Frank's hot sauce tho

Just switched from Heinz to Branston. Wish I'd switched sooner. Thicker sauce and less sweet. Much nicer.

You should consider Branston's

Branston's just can't be beaten.

I quite like Branston but haven't bought them for a long time. We usually get the cheapo Lidl or Aldi ones, and jazz them up with a splodge of tomato puree and a pinch of mixed herbs.

I have bought a 4-pack of branstons beans. Is serving on hot buttered toast the best way or does someone have an amazing Branston baked bean recipe? Please, guide me wise ones.
