purple by default, of course. Lychee is leechee in the US.

I have a South East accent and it’s a homophone for me, using a short “e” sound. Bury rhymes with ferry, very, Kerry, merry.

”Bury” is the only word ending in “ury” that I can think of that has this accent difference. Every other “ury” word doesn’t use either the erry or ûrry pronunciation as far as I can think.

Now that I've said it aloud I realised I do say it like that 🤦🏻‍♀️

I speak posh and bury is berry when it's bury under the terrace and bry when it's Canterbry, Shrewsbry........

Can anyone remember the other two? I remember thinking to myself that although I ‘got it’ I didn’t think they sounded right at all in my accent. 😞

I guessed the topic of blue but there's one or two red herrings. I was imagining a completely different topic for purple, which didn't help. But I got lucky
