I've got loads in the cupboard. Any ideas that's not pasta bake.

Tuna bolognese?

tuna with new potatoes and salad is quick easy and tasty

I love sushi bowls: microwave rice, tuna, pepper, cucumber, hoisin sauce. Stir and top with sesame seeds and crunched up seaweed. Literally have for lunch every day!

I love a tuna pizza!

A other vote for fishcakes, mix some malt vinegar and plenty of black pepper into the tuna. Mash potatoes (not too wet) with tartar sauce. Add sweetcorn and chopped red pepper and chives. Shape into cakes.up to you if you breadcrumb them or not. Place on oven tray. Spray with oil and bake.

Make a bechamel sauce with plenty of onion and nutmeg in it and add the tuna, along with some cooked vegetables e.g. chopped carrots, peas, sweetcorn, chopped red pepper. Serve with rice, on toast, or over a baked potato.

This sounds delicious. Do you have the rice heated or do you let it cool?

I love tuna mayo on a jacket or tuna/cheese melt panini with pesto.

I'm a tuna fiend I am excited to do all of these.

Just mum is over tonight and I haven't been shopping so want to use up what I have!

I like the sound of the tuna in bechamel sauce recipe.

For all other tuna lovers - I can always recommend a tuna and cheese omelette. Sounds grim but is delicious.

Baked risotto

aoirwhklzxca · 15/05/2024 12:42

Oh and a bit out there but a savoury pancake with tuna, sweetcorn and mayo filling. Found it in one of my mum's cookbooks from the 70s and I looooved it.

We used to make tuna meatballs with spaghetti.
Add breadcrumbs, an egg and seasoning, roll them, fry them separately and add them to your sauce.
They hold their shape and are really tasty.

Niçoise salad (with green beans and boiled eggs). Quick, easy, delicious.

My Mum used to make this. Delicious!

Cold tuna pasta with mayo and red onion rather than a bake. Jacket potato. Tuna nicoise salad.

DilemmaDelilah · 15/05/2024 15:36

Tuna smashed up with finely chopped red pepper and onion, some oregano, and a bit squirt of tomato sauce (plus some garlic puree if you want it), served with crusty rolls and lettuce.

My go-to is tuna macaroni, made with tinned condensed tomato soup, tinned tuna, macaroni or penne pasta, heated through with cheese on top (I know it's nursery food) - but I won't suggest that because you said not pasta...... 😁

Neverdo · 15/05/2024 15:40

My DC's favourite meal is simply pasta with a few frozen peas and sweetcorn thrown in towards the end of cooking. Drained and the tinned tuna stirred through with mayo.

Not haute cuisine, but tasty enough and a very quick and easy meal. Better with lots of black pepper imo.

SpringLobelia · 15/05/2024 17:04

similar to a pp my mother in the 70s used to make a bechemel sauce, add tuna, added sliced boiled eggs and top with croutons and some cheese. Then put under the grill until bubbling and serve with rice.

It was one of my favourites.

QueenOfTheEntireFuckingUniverse · 15/05/2024 17:07

Tuna rice bake.

Cook rice, can add a softened onion if you aren't feeding my fussy one! Put in oven dish
Cover with tin of chopped tomatoes
Then tinned tuna.
Then a layer of cheese sauce. And cheese if you like.

Bake

Tuna Melts are good and one of the top favourite dinners in my house
