Characters that just disappeared without being mentioned again

Watching young Sheldon and we have an entire episode dedicated to little Bobbi Sparks and how she was bullying Sheldon…to never be mentioned again.

Oooh, just thought of another one: Spuggie in Byker Grove. Her mum was an alcoholic and she was taken into care, living at Lou’s foster home. Discovered relatives in the US and went to visit, never seen/mentioned again, even though her brother (Fraser) worked at BG.

I know some characters ‘aged out’ but a few did get a proper exit: Robert went to a spinal rehab centre, Speedy to join the army, Charley to a recording contract, Gill died in a car crash, Julie’s parents divorced and she moved back to Wimbledon with her mum.

Nicola Dobson was another who vanished. A main character, sister to two other main characters. Got involved with a militant environmental group and was shown apparently leaving an explosive at a car dealer. Never mentioned/seen again.

Ooo what about Brooklyn 99. When Captain Holt is fist being introduced to everyone, there’s a woman who is there with Hitchcock and Scully. She was even named. Never seen again

In Saved by the Bell there was an entire random series of episodes where Kelly and Jessie weren't in it but they introduced a character called Tori instead. It was like an alternate reality where Kelly and Jesse had never existed as they were never mentioned!

I think it was due to contract issues- from googling it the channel had ordered more episodes but it didn't fit contractually with the two actresses, so they just introduced a new character instead. Totally bizarre and pointless IMO and nobody remembers her.

The actress who played Spuggy then worked in Jane Norman in Fenwicks in Newcastle and everyone shouted Spuggy at her.

Charlottes brother in SITC. In one episode and shagged Samantha and never seen again, not even at either of her weddings. I think Miranda had a sister, was at her mothers funeral?

I remember her! It was weird. Apparently, they had already shot the full series including the finale but then NBC ordered extra episodes and were unable to reach an agreement with Thiessen & Berkeley to shoot the extra episodes. They brought Tori in and put the extra episodes in the middle of the series so that the finale would feature the usual six.
