Why is my vape charging from my bellybutton?

Name changed incase I make the bad decision to post video of proof!!

I'm lying on bed and, as you do, rested my vape in my belly button! And it started charging/lighting up.

In the interest of science I have tried it on other parts of body, including the copious belly fat and it does nothing.

Why is my belly button a charging point?

And can I post the video?

I’m sorry but this image is making me gag. 1) I have a fear of belly buttons and
2) the thought of something being poked inside it. 🤢🤢🤢🤢 it’s making me feel quite funny.

My guess is that it's somehow detecting the small positive charge that skin naturally carries (from the body's electrolytes). In which case it should work on other parts of the body, so I'm not sure why it's only the belly button. Have you tried all over your body?

Sadly my 88vape pen is not working and I am very disappointed! This would be ideal when on a night out when the battery starts to go....

In the interest of science I tried belly, boobs and the weird cavity in my collar bone. The collar bone I have no conclusion on as couldn't see the vape light.
My devotion to science does not extend to any other body cavities

No but if you are breathing in and out and your belly is moving surely it's possible the vape reacts as if someone was sucking on it??

I've never even considered the potential of using my belly button as a kind of pen holder before and now I feel compelled to check if I have the charging station upgrade.

@CentrifugalBumblePuppy I have some bedding plants hardening off before planting out and I too have experienced snailpocalypse. And I had been all ready to blame slugs instead. To be fair, snails are easier to pick off.

Have no useful vape info to add, though.

Mine charges too!! DH is babbling some scientific reason behind it (apparently your palm does the same thing!?) but I'm refusing to listen!
