Regretting fertility reading from a psychic (I’m an idiot)

Hi lovely MN,

Im prepared for a roasting here and being told I’m stupid but I’m really anxious and need some sense knocked into me!

I had a miscarriage back in December and it was traumatic. I was fragile so had a ‘psychic’ reading with a well known psychic about my fertility. I am massively regretting this!

I was told it would take a long time to have a baby (few years) and that there are issues with my womb lining and hormones. Doctors will need to look at you and I must go to a specialist…not sure what specialist.

other stuff was said which I found sort of comforting at the time like you will have a baby boy and it will happen when it’s meant to be.

Fast forward to the start of March and I conceived and now just over 4 weeks pregnant.

i am so worried and I can’t shake the horrible feeling that my womb lining isn’t right for the baby and I’ll have another mc. On top of this I haven’t seen any specialists because we fell pregnant again the first time we tried.

The psychic has amazing reviews, has been on tv however fertility readings are of course for the vulnerable.

I am embarrassed but cannot stop worrying because of what she said 😓

I got told my brother is in trouble with the police and would spend time in prison - I’m an only child - he then said oh it could be a cousin.

He also said that I would marry ‘next year’ I had taking my wedding ring off on purpose and had already been married about 5 years- it’s all bollocks.

I saw a psychic years ago. - I wanted a baby. I didn’t tell her this though , just asked if I’d have children. She said I wouldn’t. I was gutted.

Fast forward to now and DS is 20 and DD is 16. Also had a couple of MCs (sorry about yours, it’s a painful experience). So I can confidently say that my psychic reading was total crap. I completely get why you saw a psychic. You were and still are vulnerable. Try to put it out of your head and just take one day at a time with this pregnancy.

I just remembered something else from the reading. She told me I needed to get my iron levels checked as I was too low and look into my nutrition.

i guess she said the iron thing because obviously a mc is a horrible thing and there is a chance a woman an become aneamic (I read that 50% of women don’t have enough iron) anyway I got my bloods done in feb and nope my iron levels are perfectly normal.
Im also not really sure about the nutrition either as I eat pretty well.

Iron deficiency is pretty common...she was hedging her bets

Years ago I was dragged along to a psychic event with work colleagues. One psychic told me that I'd be a mother to three babies. I immediately shot back "no chance - unless you're counting the cat".

She seemed surprised that I'd challenged her and pressed again (in her mysterious whispery woo voice) that I'd definitely be the mother to three babies.

"That's just not going to happen" I replied.

I have had three cats over the last 25 years though 😉

Psychics have been around since forever OP. If they were any good we would have noticed by now and they would be the richest people on earth.

What a wanker she is, preying on you when you were hurting and vulnerable. She took your money and spun you a pack of lies. As many pp's have said, there is no such thing as psychic ability, it is all cold reading and emotional manipulation.

After my dad died, my aunt dragged me to a psychic. She knew my father was dead as my aunt had told her. Well he had all sorts of messages to tell me apparently. She also told me loads of generic stuff that could be applied to lots of older men like "oh your dad liked a pint of beer" and "your dad liked gardening". Very standard things. What she didn't know was that my mum was also dead. Now if she was the real deal, then surely she'd have known and received some messages from her...but no, not a peep

I was told that i would have long marriage and 3 girls. Marriage lasted 2 years and have 1 son.

Was also told i was worried about parents health ( good guess - what middle aged person isn't or had it crossed their mind) - not in the slightest
