I’ve recently enjoyed listening to a couple of episodes of the Swindled podcast (Nestlé infant formula scandal and Herbalife MLM) and a few of the Chris VT UPF podcasts. Any other podcasts similar or with interesting factual info I could listen to next?

A Great British Scandal is pretty good.

The gift on bbc sounds is fascinating - the astonishing discoveries people make when they do those home DNA tests and find out everything they thought they knew is completely wrong....

Things fell apart by John Robson is great. You csn pick stories that interest you

The witness in his own words was fantastic

Teachers pet....but did anyone else think it had an anti climatic ending?

Placemarking for my journey on Monday!

Lots on BBC Sounds.

Death in Ice Valley
Paradise
Assume Nothing (many different programmes here, from the murder of a newlywed on honeymoon to stories from a Special Branch man during the Troubles)
Yeti
Death of a Codebreaker
Bible John
History's Secret Heroes
13 Minutes to the Moon
The Missing Cryptoqueen
The Lazarus Heist
Fake Psychic

RTE.ie's Doc on One's podcasts are great. They're quite random in terms of subject matter, but very interesting.

Chickenkeev · 24/02/2024 23:14

RTE.ie/Doc on One. Jaysus!

OutOfTheHouse · 24/02/2024 23:17

As said above, so much on BBC sounds.

I Believe in Magic is jaw dropping.
The Lazarus Heist is fascinating
The Coming Storm is amazing too.
Crossbow Killer.
28ish Days Later.

Mainly WFH and listen to podcasts nearly all day so could recommend about 100, but a selection off the top of my head:

Conflicted
Real Dictators
The Bomb (BBC)
The Documentary (BBC)
The cows are mad (BBC)
The Inquiry (BBC)
The Witch Trials of JK Rowling
Bad Bridget
Slow Burn
Dan Snow's History Hit
The Rest is History
The Guardian Long Read (no point if you read the print version)

I also enjoy Huberman Lab but episodes are very long and had amassed abit of a weird cult following, very factual though!

Schoolrunmumbun · 24/02/2024 23:42

A very British cult
The shamima begum story
Uncanny

Fofftwenty21 · 24/02/2024 23:45

I like 99% invisible and Cautionary tales with Tim Harford.

JaninaDuszejko · 24/02/2024 23:46

Two history ones:
Empire by William Dalrymple and Anita Anand
Departures by the Migration Museum

And more votes for The Witch Trials of JKR and Nolan Investigates: Stonewall

thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/02/2024 23:48

some episodes of maintenance phase are very good and interesting, especially the recent one about ozempic;
the bbc sounds one by the van tullekan twins (name escapes me) about uPF

I’ll be checking out a few listed here, thanks for the recommendations

LegoNinjago · 24/02/2024 23:50

Nobody Should Believe Me by Andrea Dunlop

SabrinaThwaite · 25/02/2024 00:32

I’ll also add Offstage: Inside The X Factor

SabrinaThwaite · 25/02/2024 00:34

And The Great Post Office Trial - it predates the recent TV programme and unearths this massive scandal.

BeretInParis · 25/02/2024 01:01

The witch trial of JK Rowling
Unholy - two Jews on the news
And Baroness Farsi and David Baddiel are launching a new one on 29 Feb that sounds interesting.
Invisible Women
