Weighted blankets, do they work?

DS(17) is having trouble getting to sleep and is convinced that a weighted blanket will help him get a good nights sleep.

Does anyone have one - do they work, or is it just another gimmick?

Autistic dd has one and loves it.

I hate them.

I’ve got one. I really struggled to sleep before I had it but it’s been an absolute godsend. Mine has a cover but they don’t sell it on Amazon anymore.

I have one and love it. It’s only from Online Home Store and it was only £20 something so no big deal if I didn’t like it. I sleep so much better with it. I have the 6kg as I’m 50kg so right in the middle of 4kg/6kg and I can put it in the washing machine on its own. In winter I put it over my duvet so it doesn’t get dirty and in summer I use it on its own.

The other thing that helps me if I really can’t sleep is listening to Sleep Cove on Spotify.

I got one after realising how much I liked the weight of my cat on my hip. Not placebo at all.

Two of my DC have them and love them.

I hate having anything heavy on me though!
