Which perfume do you get the most compliments on?

Really need a new perfume so I’m thinking of ordering a few samples to test things out. But I’m a bit overwhelmed and would like to know which of your perfumes you get the most compliments on?

Aura EDP by Thierry Mügler. It is in a weird poison-green heart-shaped bottle, but it smells like the mist after rain in a forest.

Have had compliments when wearing Hypnotic Poison & Alien, Hypnotic gets the most comments though.

Santal 33 - can’t wear it without people commenting - it’s a woody fig fragrance
And Philosokos by Diptyque - possibly the best fragrance ever

Tresor. And tresor body lotion. Both becoming harder to track down.

Stella McCartney, the original. It was my smell & I got asked so many times over the years. I'm still devastated it's discontinued.

I'm still looking, but at present I'm liking Mark Jacobs' Dot.

Amazingly my cheapest perfume gets the most compliments from a range of different people every time I wear it. Ariana Grande Cloud (the blue one).

I once tried some DKNY Woman in Debenhams many many years ago and I loved it! My dad always brought me perfume back from his hols and he asked what I wanted, so I asked for that! I was so excited when I got it... Sprayed my wrists and within 10 minutes had a crashing headache and felt sick!!! Left it a few days and tried again, same effect, except this time it smelt awful on me too! Ended up giving it to my mum, who received loads of compliments on it! It did cross my mind if the testers are actually a different blend, as it smelt beautiful when I sampled it!

I have recently started wearing Lawn by Angela Flanders, which I love - I get a lot of compliments when I wear that one.

I also have their Aqua Alba, which is based on whisky and their Lily of the Valley.

They sell little samples of all their perfumes.

I had most compliments for the Perfume Parlour dupe, an oil, of Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey.

I've tried lots of perfumes, loved a lot of them but always come back to Chanel Coco. Agree so much with pp about how it makes you feel.

Also Brittney spears eternal

This is my favourite! One of the few I can smell on myself for a good while after application.

The one I get most compliments on is Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille.

Penhaligon's - Cairo

Rather bizarrely a small £3 bottle of 'No 16' Bergamot Oud that I bought from aldi last year! Liked it so bought another as it was a christmas thing, then got a big one later in the year and it was terrible. Only have a tiny bit of the second small bottle left so no help at all to anyone really!

Paul Smith Rose is my everyday perfume, get a lot of compliments on it.

I wear that sometimes
It's the only perfume that's had 3 strangers (different times) tell me I smell amazing

Mostly I wear gourmands and Kyse douceur brûlée gets comments, mostly because it smells like syrup

Hermes twilly d’Hermes….my toddler is obsessed with the smell!

Toil and trouble by Lush and Burberry Her Elixir. Has to be the Elixir one.

Pengaligon’s Luna has been complimented.

My favourites are Juniper Sling for work, and the Coveted Duchess Rose when I need a bit of social confidence in the evenings.

Anything by aerin but particularly hibiscus palm. Smells amazing and always get complements
