I'm all on mn posting about kids room , all the cleaning I have done. Going on about how it's getting better. Trying to work with positive energy. I have been going on about what I'm doing next , the things I Need to do bla bla . But reality is i have done next to fuck all since I finished the boys bedroom on Friday. Tuesday I done 4 lots of washing. Got 3 loads hung up. The 4th has Been in the washing machine wet since Tuesday. The washing that's now dry I just dumped in my room no sorting , no folding nothing. I have left all the shit in the spare room from doing the boys room. All I done yesterday was take a bit of rubbish to the bins. In my head I feel like im really busy. But im not I have done nothing.

Sorry its a mixed post im really angry with myself.

Sounds like you have a lot you want to get done, but then feel demotivated and tired.
Hold on to what you have achieved because it reads like a lot!
Have been reading and posting on some of your other threads and would like to recommend A slob comes clean podcast, she talks about making progress and not expecting perfection establishing daily habits that allow you to continue to make progress.
I may have already recommended it 😆

Yeah I know. I keep loosing energy and motivation then I start thinking what's the point. But I'm trying not to give up. I will just keep doing what I'm doing even if its little bits. Things have been much worse than now so I'm trying to think of it that way.

Younger kids at their dad's this weekend coming so I'm hoping I can get extra things done then.

I Need to get a a few storage boxes and possibly another hoover but I'm feeling a bit tight at the moment

The cold is pissing me off. I don't drink hot drinks. So my drinks are fridge cold even though they are not in the fridge. And i feel extra cold because I'm drinking them .

@Shithole101 Keep thinking like this, because you've now found the way forward - and it seems to be working for you :)

There is light at the end of the tunnel! You will get there!!

Yes exactly before there was nothing. Even if I mess up some times. There's still a focus. The kids are back at school tomorrow. So we can get back into a routine.

Yes, that'll probably make things easier too once they're back at school.
I hope you're proud of how far you've come!

I am if I look back to a few months back. But its depressing to go back there. I would like to be at the stage that I'm.not overly thinking about it . Probably got a while for that though.

@Shithole101 You are doing so well you really are!
If it's any help, remember that keeping on top of things like rubbish can be so so much harder at this time of year. Christmas brings so much extra cardboard etc and there often just insn't enough room in the house to store everything neatly before the binmen can pick it all up. It might feel like you suddenly aren't on top of things but I'm betting you aren't as behind as you think you are. Christmas just makes things seem messier.
Once things are back to normal you can get back to trying to establish your clean and cosy house.
I remember you were going to be moving on to doing your own bedroom. Did you manage this? I think if you had just one room that is your sanctuary to retreat to at night and always clean and smelling nice it would really help you. Nobody else allowed to dump their rubbish in it! 😀Easier said than done I know.

@Shithole101

i remember who you are now.

i bothered on a lot about a woman called Dana k white on a previous thread. Honestly just put her podcasts on & she'll help you hugely.

choose an area (like the one in your photo)
Take a bin bag (preferably black so you/the kids can't see what's in it. Put any obvious rubbish in it.

  • get a box you can put donatable things in. (One you're happy to hand over, not want to keep, cardboard is good) put anything in that you are able to donate.
  • put things away that already have a home (if it's full when you get there take some rubbish/donatable items out so there's space
GO BACK TO ORIGINAL SPACE.

puck up one item at a time and ask yourself 'where would I look for this first' then put it there.

if nowhere comes to mind ask yourself if you needed this item would you know you had it? If no, donate it, if yes ask yourself where would you look for it first?

keep doing this with each item.

Yeah Christmas definitely set me back. Hopefully it will start to get back to normal over the next week bin men are due for the 1st time since Xmas on Wednesday. Younger kids will be at their dad's at the weekend. That's meant to be my get stuck in weekend. On Tues and Thurs I should he child free during the day so I can do few extra bits then to.

With my bedroom. I'm feeling a bit tight money wise at the moment 😅. Plus I'm not really feeling it . I litterly just sleep in there I don't spend actual awake time in there at all. It just feels like a waste.

Also there's big issues between older dd and older ds . It's causes me alot of stress that I'm finding hard to manage. And I'm seriously thinking about sorting out proper sound proofing for the floor . I think that's about 500 so I need to save for that.
