Grubby house

I need to built up some energy to properly sort my house. It's no where near as bad as it was. But it's not great either its also a bit grubby , I have about 3/4 loads of washing. That I must do . I Need to clean all the skirting boars ,door frames, doors. Also banister spindles. Feels alot as i have 3 floors. Hoover everywhere really want to get it done as it's the last weekend semi child free until after Xmas.

I'm slacking now ffs. I just had to sort out bank card shit that's taken ages . Even though it appears it was simple. All I have done is my bedroom and slap dashed the kitchen. Since 11.30 this morning. I have now stopped again because I felt ill from not eating pissing myself off its nlt even like someone else is making issues its me.

You post so much about your house needing cleaning. Surely you must have picked up some tips?

@LameyJoliver I made a similar comment but reading between the lines now, I think the OP posts more for the chat and support etc.

I would hope that external help is involved though as the photos don't look like an ideal environment for children to be in and the op clearly needs a lot of support

My dog keeps peeing in my hall. Would white vinegar discourage him from doing it ?

Anyway I have done my room , landing hall, both sets of stairs. 3 loads of washing. Most of the kitchen . Have a bit more to do but not much.

I have quite a bit of chunky rubbish. Its a week and a half till bins are empty. And it won't go in my bin. There are communal bins that belong to the flats near me that I could use . Not really meant to I do it sometimes when the bin men are due I do . But not sure if I'm taking the piss if i do it now.

Yes. I think you're right. It may be helpful for her to concentrate on rl help as it's hard to keep repeating the same ideas!

Not even a bit negative. It's just that you have endless threads on your need for advice to clean your house. Have you not learnt a few things to help??

I plan a spritz day tomorrow. Whole house has been hit with a virus this week and other illnesses. 2 on antibiotics. I feel the house needs de contaminating. Everyone on mend except me. But lazing around isn't helping. Tomorrow im gonna pack dh and dcs to his parents and crack on.

My to do list is getting bigger.

You don't need to understand my reasons for posting. Am i doing you any harm? Am I causing upset? Am I forcing people to post ?

I have been ill with a cold type bug for a couple of weeks. But i have to keep going. It felt a bit helpless earlier. But actually i have done more than I thought. Alm I have to do is my living room which is mot that bad will take 10 mins. My down stairs toilet won't take long at all. Wipe down stairs spindles/banister . Them my whole house is tidy. I hope you feel better soon and mange to get few bits done

Ok so just going to post my after pics. As I need to get rid of negative thoughts.

The kids bedrooms I have not touched since I cleaned them a few weeks back when they were bad. Not happy with dd as her room was tidy on Thursday. So she made the mess between Thursday evening and Friday after school. Boys room needs hoovering .but they have kept it OK. To be honest considering I have not toucher the rooms since a few weeks back I don't think its to bad..

So today I done my room, 2 sets of stairs. 1 landing, hall way. And kitchen, and I loads of washing, of and sorted the warm room/cupboard

How old are your boys? Could you get them some bedside tables from Facebook marketplace if funds are tight? With some bedside lamps

After Xmas I'm going to get them a bed side table each and a lamp each, a nice rug, going to let them choose paint/wallpaper. That will be after Xmas though

My house is a real mess today. It's been a mess all of the week really. I've got wrapping Xmas gifts going on in sitting room. I'm also fed up because I've argued with DH because he promised to vacuum stairs and landing and steam mop wooden floors this evening while I'm wrapping and he hasn't done it. I've had a moan at him because I have to get the wrapping finished to drop gifts off tomorrow so I can't do it and now he's stomped off to bed. Tomorrow I'm going to get some flash in a bucket and wash down the sticky finger marks off all of the paintwork on the doors downstairs, then do the windowsills downstairs then cupboard doors in the kitchen. DH will be at work. I'm really fed up because I desperately want to downsize. This house is just too much for me to keep clean and DH won't hear of selling it. It's not even as if I've got little ones. My DC are adult and gone now and just foster son, me and DH live here now. 3 bedrooms would be plenty for us. I could probably keep on top of that. The cleaning in this house seems to be never ending. The dogs make dirty footprints even though I wipe their paws. Dust seems to appear daily and I've had enough. I'm feeling so bloody stressed about it tonight. I probably sound deranged but I know how much housework can get people down when it feels never ending.

I get so angry my DH won't agree to downsize. I've told him it's now affecting my MH but still he says everything is fine. It is not fine.

Aww that's really not fair on you . It would not have hurt him to help you. Can anyone else give you a hand . Will he make up for it some how . Sorry your finding it hard.

great after pics OP, I like your threads as they make me want to clean too. Makes a big difference from MY HOUSE IS ALWAYS SO CLEAN posts I see to get some reality.

Thank you . I do some times wounder what people's houses are really like . I know you get people who have spotless houses. But I think there must be people who struggle to. My house will never be spotless I don't mind it being lived in. But do want it to be in control. Now that I'm practically on top of everything I'm going to do team tomm to keep it ticking over

External help ? Yes it's messy but hardly call social services time fgs . Haven't read the rest of the thread hope you're getting on ok with it OP! Doing my sort out tomorrow and Tuesday.

Yes it's going OK. I felt a bit negative yesterday but then I snapped out of lt and got on with it in the end. I don't have much to do now. I should be doing it but I'm feeling lazy. Adult ds will be here in a couple of hours. He will stay for a couple of hours or so. Then my younger kids are due back between 4-5 so really I should be doing it now

Omg my whole house is clean and tidy . All I have to do is wash 2 duvets and 2 duvet covers . Now I just need to keep it tidy. Then once the kids are back to school I will start making it more homely.
