Does anyone really look younger than their age?

Online on forums, social media, on dating profiles and even in real life people claim to look younger than their age, they are X age but don't look it. They get ID's in the supermarket buying wine.

I am always highly sceptical because I've know people who say to my face how they look like they are 25 when they are actually 38 because they have no lines or wrinkles when I am looking at them and thought they were actually in their 40's and they have obvious wrinkles and grey hair, people are delusional! Honestly the capacity people have to delude themselves about anything is quite staggering and I have never met someone who claims to look younger and it actually turn out to be true.

When I was younger I thought some older people looked younger so I once thought a woman when she was 49 was closer to 30 but that was because I assumed all people of 49 looked "old" which isn't the case at all and looking back she looked great but she also looked her age which is fine.

Going back to the first case where the women was convinced she looked over 10 years younger, what could I say I just said yeah you look great and its the same anytime anyone makes that claim. People aren't going to dispute it.

Yes I got asked for ID into a bar and I’m 43 some people I was with were in their 30s and didn’t get asked! We all thought it was hilarious, I said to the bouncer you do realise I’m in my 40s he was like no way!!! Until I showed my ID!

I don’t have wrinkles but I have grey hair that I dye. I probably won’t get wrinkles til much later as my mum doesn’t have a lot of wrinkles. Other friends my age have a lot though.

I’d say your mid 40s but looks amazing! Which is kind of my point. I think people mistake someone looking good with looking young and it’s not the same thing. If you tell me you’re 55 then I’ll be stunned.

I’d say 36-38

I think body fat helps a lot. I am 40 and fat, so often get mistaken for being younger as my flab pads out any sagging and wrinkles.

Sadly I've never been called younger in looks. In activity levels though- all the time. I am hyperactive and very disciplined.

@hihihihihihihihihihi I see you said you are 39 - but I would have guessed 33-34 from your pic at 7.31am. As some people have said, most people don't look more than 5 to 7 years younger. So that fits with that. You are very cute!

@Lostsadandconfused at 2.12 are you going to come back and tell us how old you and your sister are? Or have people guessed you both at older than you are and you're too furious to post? 😬 I am going to say early to mid 50s, and you would both probably look better without the fillers tbh. You are both quite attractive, and appear to look after yourselves, but I would say both early to mid 50s...

@Oldsu at 1.50. You do look cute, but I would have guessed your age at mid to late 60s. I would not be shocked if you told me you were in your mid 60s.

@FlowerPants at 9.20, you say you are mid 60s, but you do actually look like late 50s - so you look around 7 years younger IMO. You look fab!

My husband looks considerably younger than his age people are always amazed when he tells them he’s 50. He doesn’t work out or really make any effort but he’s good looking and has a full head of dark hair - most people assume mid late 30s.
Fortunately for me I also look younger. Again I’m no glamourpuss, I’m very low key but always wear natural make up. My own friends (school mums) often forget and think I’m younger than them when I’m older.
I do have considerably less wrinkles than them particularly around the eyes. Which i can only presume was because i had eczema and was constantly slathering on eye cream from my teen years

@namechange1004 tough one! That’s quite strong light so it’s evened your face out a lot. Early forties? You could be anywhere from your mid thirties or your mid fifties though, it’s impossible to tell from that photo.

People tell me I do. Lots think I’m early 50s, I’m 60 next year. I put it down to oily skin, that’s been the bane of my life 😁

@namechange1004 I would believe anything from 35- to a very lucky 50. Not because you look 50 per se, but you have that amazing bone structure that just ages insanely well.
