It's the season of advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day up until Christmas I will be bringing you a small scene from Playmoland. A kind of Playmobil advent calendar, with just a simple picture each day.

I've just realised... that Norman the Foreman (Playmoland Prime Minister, the builders' foreman who loves a ) has been with us for 17 years today! It's ds's birthday today (he's 23) and Norman was part of a birthday present when ds was 6! Awwwww...

Happy 23 Birthday MiniSoMuchToBits. Congratulations to Norman, I hope he’s having a nice brew, a fancy biscuit and a bit of a sit down. I’m planning to put my X next to his name at the next General Election. If he’s not on the form I’ll write it on.

Ah thank you @MoverOfPaper , Norman is indeed having a , a biscuit and a sit down (no change there then!) I spoke to ds on the phone earlier which was lovely, but I do miss him now he's no longer at home. He'll be visiting for Christmas though, hooray!

Yes @BlackeyedSusan it feels like yesterday! Then, ds had almost finished primary school. Now he has finished uni and is working!

Must be some time travel involved...

Aww, @petalpower I remember your ds at that age too! He had the Playmo airport. Lovely reminiscences of their childhood! But ds seemed fine when I spoke to him today, tired but enjoying life.

For the first time in my life I don’t have an advent calendar this year, so I am enjoying the Playmobil advent immensely! Thank you for entertaining us.

(I am 52 so some might say it’s time I gave up advent calendars anyway)

Belated happy birthday to your DS, SoMuch. I’m so glad he liked playmobil as a child because we might not have these threads otherwise!

@AlwaysForksAndMarbles I'm 10 years older than you, and have no intention of giving up advent calendars any time soon! As well as doing this Playmo one, I have a cardboard one, and we have our annual family competition where we all try to guess what's behind the door each day (me, my sister, ds and my best friend).
