He sexually abused & tortured 39 dogs.
What he did is so bad the judge has advised people leave the courtroom.

I was astounded a few years ago when the father of a woman I was at school with was arrested for possessing images of children and sex acts with animals including dogs and horses. They weren't of him, but it's the first step on the ladder. He was spared prison because of his age and for health reasons (he was 67 at the time)

He was “rehoming” dogs off Facebook and the gumtree equivalent and then torturing and killing them. Never ever give away an animal on the internet you really don’t know what sicko might end up with it

He was posting videos online under a pseudonym and one was sent to the police according to the bbc article

How does this start though, how does it escalate to point? The majority of people would be repulsed by the notion.
What warning signs could there be to detect this behaviour?

Honestly I just think some people are born evil. I have actually spent ages reading all the comments on the news articles from disgusted and appalled people. Knowing how disgusted everyone else is and that there are far more of us 'good' people in the world will be the only thing that will help me sleep tonight.

I don’t think the focus here should be on whether the perpetrator of these disgusting crimes is male or female.
Either way, “people” like this are the scourge of the Earth. They pray on the most vulnerable and those without a voice. Before I even read it, I knew there would also be child sex offences as well. These offenders are totally devoid of all empathy and morality, and the only hope here is by tracking this monster down, others will be flushed out from the cesspits they are hiding in.
I hope his sentence reflects what a danger he is to society.

Apologies- I realise the end of that doesn’t make much sense. My point being; the focus should be less on who they are but more on making sure the sentencing is apt so these predators never have access to the vulnerable ever again. I worry that because a majority of the victims were animals, the sentencing will not reflect the true danger posed by these offenders.

Have just read this and alerted my friend to avoid the news because I know she'll find it too much. It angers and sickens me that we are forced to share the planet with such disgusting vile people.

I don't know why I click these things. I'm still haunted by a similar article I read about monkeys recently.
There needs to be more done about these forums where they share these things.

I think it's absolutely critical to focus on the fact that these type of crimes are overwhelmingly carried out by men.

I'm not going to read the article but I wish him a slow lingering miserable death and soon. The world is better off without some utterly worthless and actively detrimental people and he is undoubtedly one of them. I hope that he never knows a moment's peace or happiness again in his life.

As an aside you should not be able to dispose of animals on Gumtree and similar sites. Animals should not be traded like an unwanted vase. They're living beings. Gumtree is not an appropriate place to rehome them.

The fact he said his dog died of cancer to get people to rehome their dogs with him is disgusting. My dog died of cancer this year and reading that is so upsetting.

I saw this earlier today and couldn't read the article, the headline alone made me cry. I haven't stopped thinking about those poor dogs all morning. What a complete and utter bastard.

You know this is the thing, you don't know how long these things have been in their minds or what they've done before. I posted up the thread about a girl I was at school with whose father was arrested not that long ago, during covid, for image possession. I think this was just the small fry of a much bigger shoal of fish, now.

From being 13 to 19 I was a regular visitor to their house and it makes me feel sick that he was possibly perving over me and her other friends. I saw him about 10 years ago now, in a supermarket, before any of it came out and he said he remembered me as Joan with the lovely hair. I thought it just a bit inappropriate at the time, but now - yuck.

I knew a lovely woman involved with large breed rescue ( Dobes) and she said some had been sexually abused Absolutely abhorrent and beyond all decency.
