The Moon tonight

It's a full moon tonight and it's a supermoon - it looks huge!

You should get a good look now, fairly low in the sky to the east if it's not too cloudy where you are.

Beautiful isn't it. I just saw it when locking the house up and wished my grandad was here for some strange reason he has been gone almost 30 years and it isn't even a special date for him.

Once in a blue moon - and tonight's the night, although it doesn't look blue. It's because it is so rare to have two full moons in the same month.

@TheYadaYada Is it cloudy, or are you somewhere there's not a clear view of it in the sky yet?

DS has gone up the local hill to see it. Unfortunately it's cloudy so I'm not sure he'll be successful!

Looks lovely here in NW England. Great big moon but not in the slightest blue which has caused some disappointment Grin.

The moon is gorgeous. A blue supermoon. Won't be another until 2037!

Thank you @Katmai for reminding me to go out and see it. It was beautifully bright and a special experience to view it.

I can see it! If I crane my neck painfully to look out of the bathroom window, I can see it shining! It's so incredibly bright.
