I will edit this post now.

Go to the three little dots at the bottom and the last option is edit post.

Well I have to jump on the editing bandwagon...

Houseneedsalift · 23/08/2023 11:28

Being really thick here. Have updated app but can't see option to edit

WickedUsername · 23/08/2023 11:28

Testing 1,2,1,2....

Yay! I'm on the mobile version of the site and it works for me!

MistyGreenAndBlue · 23/08/2023 11:31

I saw an edited post this morning and wondered...
Cool! Grin

Trevorton · 23/08/2023 11:32

IT DOES NOT WORK ON THE APP.

Not meaning to shout but just to get attention to app users...

If you read the link from MN that has been posted several times (sadly I saw it too late to add to my OP) all the information is in there. Currently it does not work on the App but you will be able to see a posted has been edited and the edit history in the app.

Looking at the original MN post they haven't actually stated but it appears to be about 20-30 mins and then you can no longer edit. So it's good for fixing typos and bad wording but doesn't allow for someone to completely rehash what they originally wrote which to me is a good thing.

Actually that's a good point. A short edit window is probably a good idea so.

Testing…

Yessssss!

SerendipityJane · 23/08/2023 11:48

TL;DR, but if they've done it right, then quoted posts won't be edited - so it won't be possible to gaslight a thread (Jane says in a post to test it :) )

and editing ....

Oh dear. It does edit quoted posts. Not great, really. I guess when you introduce such bleeding edge features that have never been available to the world before, there will be a few cuts ....

SerendipityJane · 23/08/2023 11:50

What a curious way to implement it.

Bbq1 · 23/08/2023 11:52

Going to tryyyy it

Piggyplate · 23/08/2023 11:53
