I've lost my beautiful Coach bag 😥

I can't find it anywhere. I've had it a while and it was still in immaculate condition - soft off white leather, pink lining, it was really beautiful. It only came out occasionally and I'm sure I remember putting it away in a dust bag where all my bags live but I went to get it out yesterday and it wasn't there. It's nowhere to be found, I've looked everywhere (and I live in a small flat so there really aren't that many places it could be). I've been to DPs today and had a look there in case I left it but no. The strange thing is that nothing else is missing - if I had left it somewhere then I would be missing my wallet or house keys or something but I'm not.
I don't have many nice things and don't usually buy anything expensive but it was so lovely I couldn't resist it. I'm so sad and feel so stupid for not taking better care of it.

It gas to be somewhere. Could you have left it at a friend's or siblings' house? Parents? Maybe it's in a suitcase?

I don't really go anywhere else to be honest. If I had left it somewhere it would have had my keys and wallet in so I would be missing them too and I'm not. I did think yesterday that it had to be somewhere and kept looking but there really isn't anywhere else it could be. It's a (really annoying) puzzle.

I can only think that I must have left it on the bus or in a shop but it doesn't explain why my wallet and keys aren't missing.

Oh, I hate it when this happens! My sympathies.
Could it be inside another (larger) bag?
Or hooked on the back of a door beneath a few coats/other random things?

I do have menopause brain fog so I could easily have put it somewhere stupid but I really have looked everywhere!

Ok, I think you are right to say that if it was left somewhere you'd be missing other things as well, it's not like you've taken it out empty!!

I'm sure it'll turn up in your place. You need to ask your partner or a close friend to come & have a look. It'll be somewhere daft & you'll remember why as soon as you find it. It's surprising how easily hidden things can be.

Exactly! And I hope you are right. I'll ask DP to look at the weekend when he's here if it hasn't shown up by then. I've just had another look around (that's how small my flat is!)

That's a good point @sillyonehetpes I don't have a Coach dust bag for it, I just put it in one I had spare, but there isn't a spare one in the cupboard. That gives me hope that it might be around somewhere!
