What's your really pointless superpower?

I can tell who has a lisp just from a photograph.

I have never found the perfect moment to deploy this superpower. I need to be in a seventies Jessica Fletcher-type show, obvs.

My thumb joint bends backwards. Just the one, not the other one. The other one doesn't bend at all.

I always know what the time is, even when I haven’t seen a clock for a few hours. My accuracy is within about a 20 minute range

ThreeRingCircus · 08/05/2023 20:21

I'm really good at removing splinters from fingers and hands.

AnneLovesGilbert · 08/05/2023 20:22

Super smell.

I’m also very very good at identifying people by their voices.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/05/2023 20:22

I can spot spelling mistakes in languages I don't speak. It's bizarre.

Tartantee · 08/05/2023 20:23

I can tell whether a man has a Prince Albert piercing just from looking at their face

Not pointless at all!

I’ve been plagued by the bastard things lately.

FixItUpChappie · 08/05/2023 20:24

Worry. I can think of every conceivable potential problem 😎

AnyFucker · 08/05/2023 20:24

I can smell bullshit a mile off. Sometimes it helps but it mostly doesn’t.

fatisnotafeeling · 08/05/2023 20:24

I know where everything is in my house at all times, I seem to have a photographic memory where that's concerned.

It's a shame I forget most other things.

Drummend01 · 08/05/2023 20:25

I know pretty much every word to a song after hearing it just once. I don’t even have to consciously be listening, if it’s on in the background I’m still somehow absorbing it

sadly this doesn’t work for remembering anything else

I have both superpowers

Reality · 08/05/2023 20:27

I can get up off the sofa just a split second before the oven timer goes off. It’s a weird superpower as my timekeeping skills are rubbish generally, but I have an ability to set a timer for 25 minutes (or whatever) and stand up to check on it just as it goes off.

Oh and I can pick up the right amount of things in a handful. Forks, sheets of paper, lids, staples. If I need twelve I’ll scoop up twelve.

I know all the words to a song too…just not in the right order!

ILoveToSquanderPromise · 08/05/2023 20:28

I freaked DC1 out when he called from his first university supermarket big shop to ask where stuff was, and I knew, despite never having been to that shop before in my life. Totally blew his mind.

Ihateboris · 08/05/2023 20:29

I can spread my toes really wide apart. I'd post a picture but it's truly gross 😝

theluckiest · 08/05/2023 20:32

I can fix any zip. Especially if someone is wearing a coat and the zip is stuck.

Can also spot grammar or spelling errors at a thousand paces.

Both useful as a primary school teacher Smile

Brewskipa · 08/05/2023 20:32

I can tell if my mum is in the same shopping centre as me based on her sneeze.

orangetriangle · 08/05/2023 20:32

I used to know every girls name in my daughters class within weeks of her starting school fasr forward 21 years and I can now do the same with my niece totally useless I know but.....

OuiLaLa · 08/05/2023 20:33

I can twitch my nose up and down like a rabbit. Not sure it’s a superpower!

WolfFoxHare · 08/05/2023 20:33

Packing, super smell and I’m a super recogniser.

orangetriangle · 08/05/2023 20:33

my daughter can remember where and for what occasion she wore every outfit for

orangetriangle · 08/05/2023 20:34

when my daughter was a baby I was able to tell you where every baby outfit was from just by looking at it

SuspiciousDuck · 08/05/2023 20:35

Knowing where all the things are.
