I didn't expect to feel this emotional at the music actually. It's very high class indeed.

My dh is totally against it but will begrudging dipping in and out. I managed to get a flag in his hand yesterday and union jack hat in his head.

Strangely younger dd has lots of trials at various places today which dh has elected to take her too..

My family are out running errands. I bet one or two will sneak in later for some criticising. They are almost as disgusted with me as I am myself. I'm a sucker for pomp and ceremony.

I get a shiver with the royal forces too. I'm glad we do marching and horses and that we're not like some countries parading tanks and fighter jets.

I don't dislike Welby & I mean 'harmless' as a compliment (although perhaps 'ineffectual' is unkind of me). The Great Officers of Church & State need to be rather boring / placid / staid - calm hands at the tiller. Far better than attention seeking 'personalites' like many politicians for example.
