What was the point of Mr Blobby? It's like the UK had a big collective brainfart and thought hey, THIS IS FUNNY!!!

Seriously, if someone had uninvented the TV at that point I'd have been okay with it.

Same here refused to watch it mind I also refuse to watch talent dance shows etc tv isn’t on Saturday nights it’s dvds or blu rays.

Ok DD (now 4) says she knows who Bob the Builder is and she likes him.

She is now staring at top 10 TV Blobby hits from YouTube with intense interest and confusion. She says she likes him if he is evil but isn't laughing.

Mine still don't believe Alf Garnett was primetime Sunday evening on BBC1.

Audiences were meant to laugh at Alf Garnett. Unfortunately, most missed where the ridicule was aimed and laughed with him.

Perhaps viewers were meant to laugh at Alf Garnett, but I dare say many saluted his relentless racism, misogyny and homophobia. I'm not sure having him say c**n in every other scene was supposed to make anyone laugh at him.

Still, at least he didn't look like some freakish monster created as a result of Dr Frankenstein's experiments at the Durex factory.

I used to love Noel's house party but was never a fan of mr blobby. I was so desperate to do grab a grand. I remember the bloke who put his jacket over the fans and just picked up the whole wad of cash as it fell through the slot.

Also wanted to be on fun house and that Bruce Forsyth one with the big spinny wheel.
