Surprise but what could it be?

Dm has decided in her infinite wisdom I am in need of a surprise

Her last surprise was to refloor my kitchen and bathroom

While I did agree to the flooring being replaced I was told it would be a surprise with the type and I trusted her she is usually very good with decoration ect

I came home to laminate (I have nothing against laminate) that looks like wood but it's blue, dark blue.

I have a 200+ yo cottage it matches absolutely nothing but I smiled and said thank you and internally curse her every time I mop it

Tomorrow she has arranged another surprise but won't tell me what it is only that I have to be out of the house for 2 preferably 3 hours so I can't be home between 2.30 though preferably 1.30 and 4.30 and whoever is doing it is a she.

I have found out it will be done in my dining room only because she asked me how far our puppy cam covered and this room is a black spot.

It can't be more flooring as there is a marine tank in there and can't be moved.
We are in the process of finishing the garden but it can't be to do with that as it would be outside not inside.
I have only just finished painting so can't be that.

I'm driving myself mad trying to think what it could be!
Any guesses are welcome

Dark blue? Do you think she meant it?
perhaps you could get her to buy you a new kitchen to match the floor ( I’m thinking white , oak fittings, chinoiserie theme….

I have terrible decoration skills
I once painted the bathroom lime green, it gave people headaches 🤣

Her house is amazing and her bisness depends heavily on how it looks to get customers so I trusted her

Nope have Dp and two Dc 6 and 9 as well
Dp dosent really care about what the house looks like as long as no one touches his fish or pc his one rule is I can't pick colours without someone to help me 😅

Is it definitely decoration?

Otherwise, maybe she's arranged for you to have this laid out, but you're not allowed to eat it until tomorrow because it has to sit out for 12 hours apparently.

Although if you have a puppy, I don't think there will be much left of it by the time you get to it.

Or she's replacing your curtains?

Can't be redoing the kitchen in that time frame I don't think
We had "new" cupboards last year when Dps family ripped out their old ones

The floor in the dining room is terrible but again can't be that as they havent asked about moving the tank
There is an open fire in there otherwise just a table and Dps pc in the corner
It also happens to be puppys 6 month "birthday" but don't think it's to do with her as she has to be out as well

Is the dining room a red herring and it's just where something will be made up?
Argh!!!!
Pic of floor just because we arnt that bothered by it really juts makes a fun story

I have a terrible lighting in the kitchen unfortunately it is very blue

Not definitely decorating but an educated guess
Can't be curtains no windows in there any more we knocked through the only window into the conservatory

Could be wallpaper but again pc and tank would block a large area plus she knows my cats would take great pleasure in ripping it from the walls

I'm allowed back home by 4.30 tomorrow so can update then

She's arrange for your oven to have a professional clean and the dining room will be where the cleaner sets up all her equipment and does all the soaking and scrubbing.

Kitchen floor looks grey not blue
does she know the tank can't be moved? I'd be a bit worried about that in case she has grand plans and hasn't realised!
